People need to stop hating on Jimin. He is a brilliant and talented young man. Give credit where it's due and stop the nonsense.

There is no worse blind person than the one who does not want to see reality. Anyone who has watched the documentary with the slightest attention can clearly appreciate how much effort and hard work goes into this album, and how much Jimin was involved in the entire process. And all this, as you say, with a very small team of people. It was his first solo album. It was not an easy challenge. And Jimin has far surpassed it. Anyone who has listened to FACE can really see that every detail is taken care of and worked to the maximum. Everything fits perfectly on this album: melodies, rhythms, sound effects, the way of singing and interpreting each track, the way of delivering each emotion. And the performances and the choreography, everything contributes to expressing these feelings. You don't just listen to this album: you experience it, you feel it on your skin, it provokes emotions in you, you feel immersed in them. And that is what true art achieves. Another thing is that your prejudices or fear prevent you from recognizing the truth, which is simple, clear and evident. Jimin has given us an exquisite album and he is already a great artist today. And great things await us in the future because he also has great potential. Thank you for this detailed analysis and highlighting what is really important in this documentary.

Thank you very much for this video, which is a must-see along with the process of making Jimin's Face album. You allow us to understand even more precisely how extraordinary and qualitative is what Jimin and his team have achieved. What's more, this video gives Jimin credit where detractors and ignoramuses seek to minimize his value, and restores the context where malicious fans seek to twist what is revealed in Jimin's Production Diary. I don't know why Jimin is the one people want to diminish in every possible way. It hurts to see how some music magazine journalists underestimate him. The anti's are another story. It's not worth dwelling on them. I hope one day Jimin will get all the recognition he deserves and more, God willing.

Jimin's repertoire, his alphabet for music if you will, is self crafted it feels like. As in, the lack of any formal training pushed him into creating his own rules and techniques allowing him to explore his own know-hows I believe. He was connected with music even before he picked up a mic because he was a dancer and was therefore familiar with beats and rhythms in general. His process naturally doesn't involve hand-holding. When people mentioned he was good with melodies, everyone kinda took it for a fly away piece of information. I'm super glad this production diary was made and released (not that the wagging tongues have changed their occupation suddenly) but it proves to all and sundry that JIMIN is actually a genius. He's a visionary and holds artistic pursuit in great regard. Although media houses detracting his achievements is nothing new, I have to confess I'd be surprised (even suspicious) if people actually only praised him because defending him and his achievements has become an unspoken but stubbornly held job lol. Thank you for making this video. Means a whole heck of a lot to people like me who genuinely got into all this purely for the sake of music and JIMIN who embodies artistry in different dimensions. Wouldn't have given a second glance to the genre of k-pop if JIMIN hadn't grabbed my attention and held it all these years.❤

I'm so glad that there's definitive proof that Jimin did write or co-wrote the songs for his album. They say artists produce their best work by using their own experiences, and Jimin did just that. Face, is a masterpiece and our super, talented Jimin deserves all the recognition that he's getting.

Thank you for your analysis on jimin and his artistry, its so nice to hear someone with complete fact based knowledge.Im from the US and years ago I stopped listening to the trashy vulgar american music with no meaningful substance, I think thats why their articles and reviews are so inept when it comes to jimin, they have lost all concept of Artistry for all of the reasons you stated, they made it an industry for profit..I accidentally found jimin on you tube over 8 years ago, and he still has me completely in awe of his talents. His complete artistry is so visible and I become completely immersed in the depth of his performances.There is so much substance to everything he does you cannot even articulate it all..Its so obvious to me that jimin receives very little credit for his valuable input, and its just overlooked. I applaud him for Billboard NO.1 he did it alone in korean, he also chose the correct small team he knew that also knew him and who he was, that was imperative to what he wanted to convey. In the production diary you can see soooo much if you watch it closely. I tend to watch his body language and eyes because they tell all. Ifeel jimin is just now evolving and showiing his complete genius, he will bring back to music the pure artistry it has lost. He will challenge the genres and will provoke others to become more conceptual also. His hard work is because he wants his messages to reflect his love and passion for what he does, and who he truly is known for.....a Great Artist.

How could anyone watch the production diary and not think Jimin played a very strong role in the development of his album? That's baffling. I admit that I didn't think about the process deeply, as I have no knowledge of such things, but it was evident to my untrianed eye & ear that Jimin put a lot of effort into the creative process. Good lord, those 4 practically lived together while making the album. Side note: I didn't know I needed Pdogg rocking out to Set Me Free pt2 in my life, but that brought me so much serotonin. 😂😂

Jimin has grown as an artist. He has taken his talent and hardwork to the next level with Face album. He has gained confidence as a soloist. I'm even more proud of him. Thanks for your insightful review.

Thank you for your excellent well-thought-out comments on Jimin's production diary. Frankly, mainstream media reviews are Lazy. They do not take the time to know the artist's history, life, and artistic progress. Army knows that there is plenty of content on Jimin's creative journey, and you do not have to be Army to simply do your homework before writing a review. That is why I love your reviews. You have the knowledge and humility for an honest analysis. Main stream media reviews are just trying to make a deadline and get their paycheck. Shame on them.

I really appreciate you touching on Jimin’s artistry because I believe he has some innate abilities that he’s either unaware of, underestimates, or downplays. In 2019 when I first got into BTS, Jimin was the one who drew me in. His Wings Lie performance and Boy Meets Evil fancam had me in awe that there were performers out there like him. Then I learned, from BTS, that Jimin created the Blood, Sweat, and Tears melody and I was in shock. That was a huge hit. I wondered what other BTS songs he contributed to, and at that point it was writing Lie and Promise. I wondered how someone with so much musical inexperience outside of singing (which he’d only been doing for three years when BST and Lie were released) could have the kind of latent genius to create an iconic melody for a breakout hit, emote so desperately on Lie, and they both be on the same album. I assumed he was far more involved in their music production. Another example of his genius: the Dis-ease bridge. 3 or 4 minutes is all it took for Jimin to take an already incredible song to reach another level. It’s one of the highlights of BE and he wrote and composed that section in no time at all. Last one I’m going to point out because Like Crazy is an obvious stroke of his genius: Letter/Dear ARMY. Jimin has told us over and over again that he doesn’t know how to play guitar and yet here he is coming up with the bones of the most tender song imaginable on a guitar. I don’t know how he was able to translate his intention from his brain to his fingertips into that chord progression on an instrument he doesn’t play. It’s mind boggling to me. Actually let me talk about Like Crazy really quickly: Jimin has managed to create the melodies of two breakout Korean language hits- Blood, Sweat and Tears and then Like Crazy. He doesn’t know how good at this he is. Okay, for real last thing- it’s interesting that you brought up that Like Crazy cover because, while it was bad, I would argue that 99% of Jimin solo covers are bad. Jimin co-wrote Lie, but he didn’t compose it. He didn’t write or compose Serendipity. He didn’t write or compose Filter. So why do the majority of these covers fall short whether it’s vocal delivery or dance performance (or both)? They don’t possess his musicality or his ability to transform into the song’s concept. Where others just perform, Jimin *becomes*. You will never know where concept begins and Jimin ends because he is completely immersed. That’s just another part of his genius.

Haters are just jealous because Jimin works so hard and is more talented than they are. We all know Jimin is a perfectionist, he doesn't like when things aren't right and he works so hard to make everything great. We have seen what he puts himself through and yet some stupid people still claim he's not talented. Well he doesn't need those people, he only needs all of us who love and support him. 💜💜💜

Thank you for doing justice to Jimin and his wonderful creation FACE. Jimin is the artist who has it all, he is a genius in disguise. I hope that with this documentary people open their eyes and give Jimin the recognition and respect for his work that they have tried to minimize.

Agree 100%. FACE is a work of art and a product of Jimin's hard work and artistry with the help of his small team. Its sad that some people would rather diminish the achievements of this album just because it is JIMIN's rather than celebrate its groundbreaking records because it historically is JIMIN's and his alone.

Jimin is a brilliant musician. Just because he is too humble and down to earth so much as to not demand credits or boast about his work ,that doesn't give anyone rights to discredit him. I think mainstream media does not want to openly admit that anybody is above the level of any western artist. If it was a documentary on a western artist, they would blow it up, the vocabulary would be on full display, the admiration for work ethic, but because it's not only a non-English, non-western artist but it's a BTS member, still not playing by the industries rules, they are going to use their tactics to minimize and overall work to create questions on talent and ability. Even though there is enormous evidence of his talent, hard work and genuine love of his craft. 2. The reason for number one is many people are lazy in their thinking. They want to be told what to think even when the evidence states otherwise. If it is not lazy thinking, it is jumping on a bandwagon to nowhere. Everyone is saying so it must be true. 3. I love your video. I have seen many videos on Jimin where they focus on how cute he is; how adorable he is, and only skimming over his talent and skills. I see it a lot; too much actually. I have always felt that Jimin is overlooked. I have seen a few videos documenting BTS members' talents, skills, etc. However, when it came to Jimin, they left so much out. Never pointing out how intelligent he is, by not pointing out his scholastic achievements, (for instance), but rather choosing clips sampling his "talent," which weren't the best ones; or using clips where other members are with him, making it a comparison to the other member(s), depending on who your bias is, as opposed to focusing on Jimin himself. All of the members are extremely talented, which is always pointed out....rightfully so. However, when it comes to Jimin, critics become blind. I was so happy to see his process. He is never, (ok, rarely?), given the credit due him. I do not know why. Yes, Jimin is my bias, however, I have been known to binge on videos of J-Hope, Taehyung, Jung Kook....Suga & RM, (& I am really not into rap, but Suga, RM, & J-Hope hit differently & I like their music). These men are so talented; genuinely humble and kind. They all deserve the best of all worlds. I just want Jimin to get his fair share of recognition for the work he puts in. There is one documentary where it was mentioned that while working on the album "BE," Jimin made music / suggestions, but none of his songs were chosen. There was also a mention where Suga wanted to use Jimin, but the company said no. (If I am remembering incorrectly, someone please let me know, because unfortunately, I cannot recall the video I saw this....I just remember thinking...."Naturally, because it's Jimin."). I really appreciated your breaking down Jimin's process, because while I did get to watch Jimin's Production Diary, I missed a lot of what you pointed out. So, thank you.

As a newer fan of BYS I didn’t know the difficulties Jimin has had getting the credit he deserves. I learned he was intelligent (high rank in school). He was very talented and capable as evidenced by his solo dances with BTS or how he presents himself at fashion events or his singing, which so many reactors who are skilled in the industry immediately are drawn to. He is also a loyal friend - he was there for his brothers as they ventured out on their solo work - traveling to the US more than once to support them. He said right away that this album was him and his experiences and I never thought there was a reason to question that given what I had learned about him. I also remember Suga complementing him for working with Pdogg and the familiar team. Suga told him on Suchwita that it was a good choice for him. I think Jimin can gain confidence in how well fans have received his work and I’m glad he chose to do the documentary to share his experience making the album.

Jimin is really talented, is so weird how some armys are discredit him and thinking he isnt as talented as others mostly when unlike the other two younger members who have no credits in their albums. Jimin is a melody fairy all his solo songs from BTS albums are amazing and even made the melody of DNA/ BST and Disease and who knows how many more melodies he participated and we didnt know because he wasnt credited for them, im glad he could work with a team that understood his vision and trusted him.

I've always known that his talents stood out from the crowd, and I was hoping there was a chance that his brilliant talents shine more. Pdogg is a great producer, and he was the right person to bring out jimin to be comfortable to open up with his ideas Rm is great too and I thought he brought a big picture perspective to get the narrative going but even he himself acknowledges jimin and his talents. Rm knows it’s jimin project and is always respectful of his place. With the advice he left, jimin still had to do the work and make the hard decisions on what to use and go with in the end.

Too bad they had to put the documentary behind a paywall. Not everyone who should see it will.

It also makes you wonder did they even watch it if so they clearly didn't understand what they watched and heard. It went straight over their heads. We have a saying here in the UK when talking about fools who hear something watch something but then clearly don't understand what they've seen and hard or forget what they've heard and seen 2 seconds later.. We say 'In one ear and out the other" so it never went as far as their brains. I think that sums up what went on with those so called journalist at least the one's that might have listen and watch bit's of it.

JIMIN👑🐣 is a complete artist, he was involved in every process of his FACE ALBUM, he had a vision of what he wanted to show. WE SAW EVERYTHING IN YOUR DOCUMENTARY. IT IS AT A DIFFERENT LEVEL. ‼️BUT THE HATERS 😡 DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT, THEY ONLY FOCUS ON CRITICIZING IT. THEY BURN FOR ALL THE TRIUMPH THAT JIMIN HAD AND CONTINUES TO HAVE IN HIS SOLO ERA.

Ohh this was a really deep analysis of our Jimin's work !!! I enjoyed a lot and also got moved by your words. Of course I love him almost as I love my children, that's my feeling, crazy or nor is what it is. I get hurt when people try to diminish him but I understand that is pure envy. He's only 28 and has achieved that much , and I'm sure he will break all the boundaries he decides to break, a he'll succeed, for sure. He, himself, alone, no collaborations with other artists, three producers , more friends than pds, which also tells us about his loyalty. I love that Jimin didn't just make an album for the money, but really wanted to learn how to make an album from start to finish. I think Jimin surprised me the most of all the members. When Set Me Free Pt. 2 came out I was like "WOW! That's not what I expected" It's still my favorite on the album despite the excessive autotune effect and I think "Like Crazy" is the weakest song. And that one is still no a bad song. Face is my second favorite album of the members (after D-Day :))

There is so much anger for Jimin and what awards he's up for,compared to other members of BTS...I just don't get why people,ARMY (!)can't see just how hard Jimin did actually work on his album. I would like to thank Yoongi and Namjoon for getting Jimin to be PM on their BE album. This alone may have been a stepping stone for Jimins abilities. Made it a bit easier for having done this. Alone...is my favorite, after Letter( Alone is so haunting, just reaches into my soul!) Again,thank you🫰💜🫶
