Buckskin Gulch & Paria Canyon (to Lees Ferry)

A 5-day backpacking trip through Buckskin Gulch and Paria Canyon with Steve and his friend Jordan. The full route covers 44.2 miles backpacking from Wire Pass to Lees Ferry and 7.5 miles of side hikes up Paria Canyon and Wrather Canyon. Filmed May 8-12, 2022 in 4K HD.

Thank you so much for doing this video. My husband and a co-worker were going to do this trip but they couldn't coordinate their time off from work. Now they can just watch your video instead. The narrow slot canyons reminded me of Little White Horse Canyon near Goblin Valley, that is a 9 mile hike. I really liked the sand fall.

spectacular video! too much in here to comment on all of it but the sand fall is amazing and got to love the tent blowing away hahah/ over an hour of AWESOME thanks for taking us with you!

Very nice video. I did this hike solo about 11 years ago. I did not do any side hikes, just went straight through. Took 3 days and 2 hours. I went with a light weight setup. No tent, just a very light Bivy to shield me from bugs and the wind. My thinking was that if it rains, getting wet will be the least of my worries. What I remember the most is waking up in the middle of the night and looking at all of the stars.

Just watched the whole video. Great job!! I have to admit there is more involved with this hike than I thought. Well detailed. I wondered what model tent you have and which pillow? I have a Big Agnes sleeping bag which I love but my tent is too small and I need a better pillow. Again, thanks for sharing this hike. I was at Lees Ferry fishing three weeks ago. Love this entire area!!

I used a Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2-person tent and a Backside LiteWave pillow.

Have done this nearly a dozen times...a little too much drama around the Rabbit hole...otherwise beautiful footage...also, I have never packed a tent...
