Only reason i ask is bc i got 20 acres im trying to turn into fescue pasture full of buckwheat right now.

Yeah, you can seed into the standing buckwheat. The seed will fall to the ground. Then crimp the buckwheat over the top of it. I prefer to do this when the soil is somewhat soft so it can get pressed in when you crimp the buckwheat. I've had less success when it's been dry and the ground was hard even though I seeded in front of a good rain.

@@HobbyHarvest great. Thank you. I guess my only concern would be that the thatch layer would be too thick for the seedlings to sprout through. But you're saying that's not an issue?

1 pint/acre which is the same rate I use on the food plot. I didn't spray until the switchgrass was about 12" long.
