Today we are hitting back and rear delts. Remember just because you are in wellness doesn't mean you can slack on upper body. This workout might not look like much but if you follow all the tips I give you it will light you up. Give this workout a try and let us know how you like it.

John is such a mellow, mild mannered dude but gets iron in his hand and goes HARD. I love that sort of balance. Just based on attitude alone you would think "yea I will train with ya buddy, how intense could it be with this guy?" 60 min later and your getting carried out the gym in a body bag. RESPECT!

Driving with your elbows is an incredible cue, especially for beginners because it’s really easy to ignore the lats and still look like you are doing the right thing! Totally changed my back workouts.

Are you opening a gym down your way? That’s incredible. I sure wish we had a good lifting gym up my way in Michigan. Not going to happen so I just need to keep adding onto my equipment as I go.

Just did this had to improvise for the trap rows because I don't have a bar like that got it done with a bar and my cable on my Smith machine I feel it everywhere you said it would hit great routine

John you've done wonders for my upper lats. Can you do the same for my lower lats please? Everything you do for back and shoulders has been a miracle for me... Help me dog father!

I recently started to do neutered grip pull-up instead of neutral grip lat pulldowns. I definitely feel a better contraction in my lats and I feel that it helps with pull up strength. However, it is strange that I can do a couple more reps with the neutral grip pull-up than chin-ups variant.

That's cause its also getting a bit more help from the forearms, it kind of resembles a hammer curl vs a normal curl when it comes to the chin-up.

So why do you choose a bodyweight movement over a machine (cable) movement? Variety? For me, I always can concentrate the stress in the target area with cable pulldowns more effectively but, am wondering if I'm missing something?
