Nice projection and bass presence. A little beeswax (not soap) on screws would help ease them in. Looking forward to full test drive.

Thanks for the journey man. I so want to have an experience like this. I know there is a place over by the Martin factory not too far from that offers something like this. $$$. Awesome job and enjoy the hours of satisfaction that you are playing something that you built with two really great people.

Where Jeremy sanded through the side, I would have made a round hole and then on the inside make a patterned sound hole out of the piece of material that was glued to the outside. Some guitar makers put in a side sound hole and a top sound hole. This side hole gives the guitarist a flavor of what micing the sound hole sounds like. I build guitars though, I have never put in a side sound hole, though some builders that I know do that to all of their guitars.

Wow Jeremy, that's a beautiful looking and sounding guitar. There's tons to be proud of in that work, and the initial sound is fantastic. Can't wait to hear the entire sound demo. And I'm sure I can think of lots of questions for Steve on building the guitar. Again fantastic.

This has really been a joy to be along for the ride on your first build. However, As a hobby builder myself, I guess I wasn’t prepared for the emotions I felt when you showed the errors. So painful to watch. During 2021 I began building a L-00 and after the body was complete, I dropped a big router bit on the redwood top and gouged such a big divot that I decided to abandon the guitar. On the plus side, the next build went really well. Sometimes you can repair creatively, and other times you just need to know when to walk away and start again. I salute your open approach, Congratulations!

Coming along nicely. I am surprised he doesn’t use a drill press to drill the tuner holes. They are probably crooked. Also, Those screws are probably cheap screws from Asia. Screws are garbage these days. But this is a great series. Thanks for doing this

So sorry that that screw snapped. I have one question. Why on earth did you choose to use a flat head screw? Chance for slipping out while installing is so high no to mention the torque stress on the screw is so much greater with that type of screw. I know I am being super picky but you have put so much time and thought into the rest of the guitar, why?
