Trying to insert a GPU while the case is free standing vertically sure is a great way to break it. It should be laying on it's side, then inserted and fastened first.

The only other change I would like to see are 90-degree adapters for USB 3.0 and USB C header cables. Those stand off quite a lot, and are known to be fragile as is. I don't know how much I like having to fold them over like that just to close the back panel.

I did the MSI project zero build in the MAG Pano. Not an Asus fan and also not sure if Asus did it first or they just took the idea off MSI, either way these builds are clean. I used a sapphire PURE 7800xt to finish it up. Turned out really nice but black might have done better. No matter you do in a white build, "all white" does not pan out. I did have to remove the red led plate from the PURE card. I still do not get why it has a red led plate in an all white gpu. Looks really good.

I have to admit Greg that is a sweet pc gaming machine including the pc tower , it may be beefy but it will circulate the air and out through either the aio radiator and the back to be honest i bloody love it that is a kiss sweet 10/10 .

If I recall correctly, there was a company that patented the design and they only recently either resolved it or licensed it to other companies.

@@NavneetRao Odd as I recall a Modder soldering the connectors onto the rear of a board years ago for a custom one of build. I wonder if he patented that concept.

Very sexy build! I am fast becoming a fan of the various connectors being placed strategically on the back of the motherboard! And the supplemental PCI-e like power connector for the GPU is pretty slick! Great way to add card sag reinforcement right from the motherboard. Great video!

I love your reaction to the graphics card. I just got a rtx 4080 super aorus master myself, it has basically the same cooler and thus is as big as the biggest 4090 versions and it's insanely big. I had a 2070 super windforce before and that was already quite big but the 4080 I've is twice as thick, 7 cm longer and nearly 5 cm wider. It fills my be quiet 500dx case completely.

A very good option is that the connectors are on the back of the board, there will be no more problems with the distance of the cables, etc. And the case is insanely good..

Oddly this is the type of setup I was envisioning back in 2000, no wires just straight connected pieces to the MB. Asus has done amazing and very expensive things here lol.

i could see side motherboard connectors taking off but not something like this, would be pretty clean especially if the normal case cutouts are close, and obviously, you could use it with a standard ATX case given it has somewhat decent cutouts. im pretty happy with my bare asrock motherboard, no "armor" or "shields", or even a m.2 cover just a simple exposed board

I'm almost 60yrs old and this build made the little kid in me get all giddy. Ahaha I wonder what Greg's son thought of this build. Anyway, bad side is that I'm going to start budgeting for a BTF build now with that exact case. It's too bad there aren't(?) any AMD BTF mobos/GPUs. (Grrrr!) I'm an AMD guy personally. But since I want a BTF build, Intel/Nvidia it is! lol Great video as always, Greg!

When you do a video like this what do you do with it? Like do you have to take it all apart afterwards and send the parts back or do you just send them the computer or something? I always wonder that when I watch people make these videos and I've never bothered asking.

Asus should really sell a bundle with the case, motherboard and PSU with custom length cables for this specific bundle to make the back less bulgey overall. This kind of a setup would also be good for new builders too because it can be assembled standing up.

I myself got the Corsair 4000D Airflow in white for my build. I got it while it was on sale too. Normally a $109 case, I got it for $89.

Not to mention how much easier it is for it to stay clean. No cables in the way to catch the dust, etc. the air flow would be even more optimum if even my a little bit.. and cleaning based on what I see there is pretty much down to a wipe down... xD

It's been done before by a modder that soldered the connectors onto the rear of the board. Asus must have ripped off his idea.

An NZXT z73 aio cooler would be the icing on the cake for this pc.Nevertheless this kind of build will go many people (including myself)as long they have the money to build one.Looks so clean like a hyper car’s engine bay.Awesome

I like the big ol' chonker cases. Reminiscent of the cases we started with in the mid-90's (though usually beige of course). This is a gorgeous build. But... WAY out of my budget! 🤣

If you flip the radiator around and let the tubes run down the backwall it might look even cleaner.

Each of the BTF type solutions are very clean and neat looking but tend to be proprietary. Complexity to the trouble shooting process increases. If it becomes totally standardized, I might be more interested.

I Think this is a great idea very clean... But... One of my Fav. Part about building a new PC is making and sleeving my own cables so while this is cool i still prefer sleeving my cables and the aesthetic of well done cables and cable Management

I had to rewind the video just to see when you showed the front of the motherboard cuz I thought your camera dude was making funny faces at the mirror image on it until I realized oh that's the camera not his mouth lol apparently your camera guy is more mature than I am because yeah funny faces would have been made

Heads up on that asus board i own the old version that one and mine have in the bios a option to auto install armory crate. So it will always do a force install on every widnows install turn that off asap. Then you can use a nzxt rgb/fan hub for $20 cam software is light easy to use.

MOBOs with rear connectors should've been a thing over a decade ago. But I'm hoping that more manufacturers jump on board with this, especially with concern to the GPU being powered directly off the MOBO with no cable going directly to it.

Does anybody know why Greg only connected 8-pin CPU EPS connector instead of 16 5:15 onwards. That makes me think that somehow the other 8 pin connector is optional?
