We went up to Vancouver, BC to check out the DIY skate spot that Ben De Gros (The Vancouver Carpenter) has been building up there, and he gave us the rundown of his self built skatepark obstacles. www.adjacencybias.com

I was always under the assumption that was his private backyard. Didn’t know it had an expiration date :(

I always kinda assumed the same, but wondered how he could afford it in one of the most expensive places to live in the world.

He should hold his own contest every year invite only, and call it Bens Backyard

Hell yeah, love watching Ben skate and talk about the little details that normally aren't talked about in skateboarding, very knowledgeable and eager to share his carpentry wisdom!

"alot of gratification in having built the obstacles" ! I feel that ! except my dad built the stuff i skated. or i diy'd it with cinder blocks and plywood :) This was an easy watch !

It's funny to think that ramp would allow for tennis but an extra foot wouldn't. That ramp is already super in the way for where you'd stand playing tennis. Looks like a perfect setup though.

Well i haven’t built shit and i’m not as good at skating as you but at least we both can’t blunt fakie
