Great video, only thing I would advice is to raise your sizzle zone grate (it has 2 levels) when cooking on it, it's a 1800 degree burner, but if it works for you then do it your way.

Yeah, the lower setting is for Wok's or CI Skillets.

Of all the grills you sell, (seen in background) why did you choose this specific Napoleon grill to demonstrate the versatility? I just bought a 500 Prestige RSIB and already love it!

Can you only cook two burgers at a time on the sizzle zone ? I like the idea of a dedicated burner for searing but this just looks too small if you plan on cooking more than a couple steaks.

why do you keep the lower setting on the side burner grate height?

I like the option to add that charcoal tray, however, how are the charcoal ashes managed?

Hi Chris, thanks for the question. Most of the ashes stay in the charcoal grate but some will fall into the grease drip area.

How is the grease managed on the griddle and how do you flip it when hot( attachment/gloves etc)?
@PennwoodHomeandHearth3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shawn, thanks for the question. Napoleon's cast iron griddle has drain holes that allow the grease to drain off the griddle. To flip the griddle while it's hot you will want to have a pair of heavy/insulated leather gloves. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry I'm not clear if this grill is propane or natural?
@PennwoodHomeandHearth4 жыл бұрын
Hi Javier, Thanks for the question. The grill Chris is using in the video is propane but they are also available in natural gas.
@PennwoodHomeandHearth4 жыл бұрын
@Paul T Hi Paul, thanks for the questions. The natural gas orifices are larger due to the fact that its service pressure is lower than propane. As far the heat distribution, the manufacturers will size the natural gas orifices to provide the same heat output as the propane version. Hope this helps.

Isnt the searing station to just sear? Why do so many folks try to cook on it? I see everyone just end up with a burnt steak or in this case burger.
@PennwoodHomeandHearth2 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, Thanks for the comment. The Sizzle Zone can actually be used for more than just searing as the burner is adjustable and the grate has two height positions. This burner can even be used to boil a pot of water. Our burger got a little charred here probably because Chris had to go inside and wash his hands after loading the grill. Hope this helps.

@@PennwoodHomeandHearth oh wow! Thanks for the response! I see. Do you feel like the use of the sizzle zone needs undivided attention? Is it easy to modulate the heat if you wanted to use it for a frying pan with oil? Im trying to think of all the possible use cases for it so I can justify it. Honestly thats a pretty good video idea I havent seen on KZfaq. You would be the first.

@@Dhoyos7 It's like anything else where you need to get to know it a little bit. We actually did a fish fry in a cast iron pan the other day but we used the burners inside the grill. What are your thoughts on this grill versus the Weber Genesis II s-435?
@PennwoodHomeandHearth4 жыл бұрын
Hi David, I think the Prestige 500 is more comparable with the Summit E-470 when you look at standard features and build. Although, the Prestige 500 is priced similar to the Genesis II S-435.

Pennwood Home & Hearth thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Is the quality of the Napoleon as good as the Weber
@PennwoodHomeandHearth4 жыл бұрын
@@davidcampbell2713 we certainly feel it is. Napoleon uses 304 stainless steel for the burners, sear plates, and cooking grids. They also have a terrific warranty. Is this a Pro? The pro is $1000 more. Is it really worth it for the price?
@PennwoodHomeandHearth4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa, thanks for the questions. The grill being used in the video is the regular Prestige 500, not the Pro. The Pro is about $700 more and adds some nice features such as heavier cooking grates, stainless steel grate for the Sizzle Zone side burner vs. cast iron, a different light system which includes interior cooking lights, and more. Is the price difference really worth it? For some people it is and for others it is not. It would be best to compare both grills side by side to make that call.
@lisabroestaff71334 жыл бұрын
@@PennwoodHomeandHearth Thank you for your reply. I ended up going with the Prestige 500 Ambiance. I wanted the cast iron sear grill, but in the end, I wanted the coated metal more. @ktotoizdaleka10373 жыл бұрын
Can't you guys read English? You are supposed to lift the infrared burner grid to upper position for sizzling! Lower position is for storage and for using that burner for example for frying pat or wok. It says so right there on the sticker on the downside of the burner cover! I'm surprised how many people are doing it.
