"Butterbox Babies" is the shocking true story of Lila and William Young, owners of the Ideal Maternity Home for unwed mothers. Resented by the medical community, the Home falls under public scrutiny when a routine delivery of an infant results in the mysterious deaths of two patients. Soon, the Youngs are burying dead babies in butterboxes and selling healthy ones to childless couples. @@heniuprawdziwy1400 Ancestry.com and 23 & me et al have helped people find their biological family. I feel so terrible for the poor little ones they just let die. Horrible people who literally got away with murder.

I knew an older gentlemen who was an orphan here. He told me the story year's ago. I had never even heard of it until that story. He went on to be a lawyer and judge in Miami. He was in his 70's when he told me the story. Glad you made it out and had a wonderful life, Mr. Glick 😊

People are so barbaric. Folks often look at these days as the good ol days and simpler times... meanwhile the reality were terrible crimes and evil was being done and there were zero human rights. 😤😢

My cousin is a survivor because she got adopted, (although she was sick at the time of adoption), but her twin did not survive.

@@socalcde It's so sad what happened to those angels. So many didn't survive either because the care was sub-rate or they were not considered adoptable and left to die.

Read Before We Were Yours which is based on Georgia Tann and her horrific orphanages and kidnapped babies she sold to rich people and famous movie stars.Although harrowing it's beautifully written and you won't ever forget this book.💔😪❤️

I remember this movie my library had it on videotape at one time. I also found the book and it was awful to read about what went on there. If a baby didn’t look right in Mrs.Young’s eyes they were starved to death. All they got was a bottle with water and either molasses or corn syrup in it. Some families wanted twins and if they didn’t have twins they would just take two babies and turn them into twins. The back had a list of names that showed babies who were born there and were then adopted and they had found family members. Some found their mothers while others were reunited with family members like brothers and sisters or aunts and uncles and even cousins.

There are at least eight of those graves on my brother's property...the matter has been reported to the RCMP but so far no action has been taken.

Numb they can’t exactly rest where their murderers dumped them. Also this is someone’s property we talking about. What if they sell it later and some construction company decides to turn up the soil, destroying and scattering their remains all over the place. They should be buried in a cemetery, not in someone’s backyard like a dog. Not tryna be rude btw. Just thought this was worth adding to the discussion.

It's a true story that took place in Nova Scotia Canada. Many babies sold where sold to Jewish Families in the New England area. It was during a time when babies where only able to be adopted by people of the same religion so many where adopted as Jewish.

I am not repping as in taking credit for any atrocity, I am repping the company and the crew that were involved in bringing this horror to light so YOU and everyone else would know about it.
