Sometimes old houses get this reputation for being an unhealthy space. In fact, I have heard so many buyers remind me that they don’t need a radon or mold test because they’re “buying a new house.”
But the truth is that old homes have benefits that new homes may not have. And sometimes, this puts old homes ahead of the game in terms of health and wellness for our space.
That being said, you have to know exactly what to look for in an old home. And therein lies the problem. Most people become enamored with the beauty and charm of an old home that they miss some of the BIG problems that lie beyond aesthetics.
This week I’m sharing with you some of the benefits and the not-so-healthy things you may find in an old house. Once you know what to look for, you can make a logical, educated decision.
