Uh, NO - this is NOT "Everything you NEED To Know"! In good faith, I watched this video in the hope of learning HOW TO ADJUST these hinges.. I'm certain many others would expect the same. After checking your library I STILL couldn't find such a video. (Perhaps you DO have one - I simply was unable to find a title leading me to such a video). Guess I need to search elsewhere. In your example pieces it was hard to tell which piece was the door and which was the cabinet. I figured it out but it wasn't obvious. Thanks for the info.

I want to use euro style cabinet hinges for 1 3/8 full size hollow core doors in a regular door jamb. What is my best option?

I have a couple of cabinet doors that have a round over on three sides and the center of the doors are squared off so that when they close they meet in the middle. What type of hinges do I need to look at so that when they close the round over is flush with the cabinet. Thanks in advance.

What product can you recommend I use to fill in the overwarn screw holes that I want to fill in with replacement screws. My end goal is to not have to be tightening up my hinges every few months or so. I want to use the existing holes where the screws were, that fell out of the hinges, but make them more permanent and less likely to wiggle free again. Also, don't let the critics get you down. I consider myself a low to intermediate level diyer and you did a great job explaining the basics of hinges.

What would happen if you used a 5/8 overlay hinge on a 3/4 door and cabinet

I used Compact 33 2 part hinges on frameless cabs for years. In fact, the only Blum hinge system that really limits which style of cabinets you can/should use them on are full frame wrap-around hinges.

I have motor home hinges I can't find that are top mounted non european old style but have springs that keep the door up horizontally when opened and keep the door closed when closed. I can convert to eropean since I have the jig for that. But I don't know what hinges will keep the door open with enough force and keep it shut with enough force when closed like the hinges that are in the motorhome now. Do you have any suggestions?

And, what happens if the door is opened beyond the opening angle say, if someone bumps the door while its open? Seems that unsupported hinge would just split the frame and yank out the screws... I watched all the videos in this playlist but, must have missed where you discuss opening angles and the reason there are different angles, and what for.. What is the standard opening angle? Why are most hinge angles 110 degrees or less, when a door that doesn't open all the way is prone to being pushed beyond that angle, potentially damaging the frame?

can you tell me what to order, for FF and inset door hinges . I built a router table with 4 different raised panels and I want to inset a door ,this cabinet is being used for Examples to show my wife, to decide the changes to make in the new kitchen cabinets. the face frame might be 13/16 thick and want soft close and i assume some adjustment , hinges seem way too complicated vs building cabinets, I've spent a 2 hours+ brousing the WWE site. thanks

I don't understand the confusing purpose of interchanging the hinge base when all you have to do is just purchase the correct hinge overly size you need in the first place. If you need a full overlay hinge, just purchase a full overly hinge or whatever size overlay you need.

I'm sorry but this is too much information. You could've made 3 short videos explaining what parts do we need for certain application. One video telling people which parts to buy for 3 most common frameless overlays of 3/4", 1/2" and 3/8". Second video is for frame cabinets (some frames are thicker than 3/4") with those most common overlays. Explain which parts we should order for those applications., and third video for inset frame and frameless cabinets, keeping in mind not all frames are 3/4". Please make it simple. It would take European engineers to design such complex system.
