All the ross kids leaving Bunkd made me so uncomfortable like why is the show still running 💀💀💀💀

Ok, so no one is going to talk about Gunther from shake it up? I was waiting for caitlin to mention him. Shake it up wasn't the same without him since he was a part of the Hessenheffer twins. All of Tinka's antics and interesting clothing choices completely fell short without a partner to back it up.

My headcanon for Sonny with a Chance is that something happened that made her and her mom go back to Wisconsin. Some family emergency or something, and Chad joined up with So Random to help fill the void (and attempt some self-improvement) because he still cared for Sonny and wanted to help keep her show alive until she came back. Which in turn helped prove to Sonny that Chad could care more about others than his own fame. And when she came back they got back together, got married, and moved to Calabasas to live on a ranch/music studio.

A show I think of when talking about characters that left was Bunk'd. Most people bring up how the Ross kids left since they were the main characters as it was Jessie spin off, but they at least got a send off. The part I think of is how nearly every other character from the show just... disappeared after Season 2. Xander, Tiffany, Jorge, Hazel, Griff, Gladys, they just left. Only Gladys got called out since she used run the camp, but everyone else? Xander was Emma's boyfriend and she never brought him up. It was like they never existed, which kind of bummed me out.

Brady leaving Pair of Kings wasn't just weird, it was plain wrong. Brady leaving throws off the whole storyline. Brady and Boomer are the Kings of Legend. They are supposed to lead the island of Kinkow into a new era of greatness. The lady of the cave confirms it. She paints Brady and Boomer holding a scepter and the whole setting is golden. It makes no sense that they would continue with the 3rd season, take away any importance Brady had, and insert Boz, who was annoying on so many levels, as a replacement saying "Oh, you guys thought you were just twins well actually you guys are triplets," that feels like something a soap-opera would do. Brady may have had a few scenes where he wasn't the most likable, but Boz was just so annoying and out there. Clearly, the writers had no idea what they were doing. The season throws off everything from the first two seasons. The show should have been canceled. Bringing in Boz was the worst idea Disney ever had!

I totally agree that not having Justin in the wizards return special felt weird bc Justin is such an important key reason as to why Alex is the way she is and how she thrives , and I feel like their relationship as siblings is one of the biggest hearts of the show that makes it so special. And I get it the David Henry was busy or didn’t wanna be in it that’s fine but ugh I just hate when they have their one little line mentioning them in the beggining of something and it’s some lazy line like oh he’s busy at wiz tech like huh. I even thought that them throwing a party for him in the beggining just bc they think he’s eating it up as a professor was kinda like really, we still on this sameee narrative lmao like even her parents being mad at Alex for using magic for Simple things instead of doing it herself has been the same old issue they have with her since season one and it’s like ??? But I do love that at the end it ties back to Harper being the only one who has always accepted her bc they are also another big heart and soul of the show. Lmao I just got on a tangent about the special my bad but clearly u can tell this is my favorite show

I have complicated feelings about how they took Carlos out in the Wedding special. If the Boyce family wanted them to address Cameron's absence that way then I respect it. If not, it hurt a lot to see the writers just take Carlos away when he could've still been alive in the universe and is just off somewhere. But at the same time I'd feel weird about them writing some random excuse for Carlos to not be around bcuz he wouldn't miss his best friend's wedding for anything in the world ya know? So maybe they could've animated him to be around in some scenes but just not say anything? Idk i just choose not to think about it much

One exit that I that absolutely loved was Rachel from Stuck In The Middle. It was so realistically written, having her go off to college, and the siblings dealing with the change in the family dynamic. Plus, it hit very close to home for me, because my older sis left for college around the same time. And Rachel was gone but not forgotten; mentioned a number of times and brought back for the finale.

The Descendants wedding short felt so wrong. It really never should have been made. The movies meant so much to Cameron and they wouldn’t have been the same without him. For Disney to make the short and kill Carlos off in that universe just to pay tribute to him just feels distasteful to me. You don’t need to kill off a late actor’s character that they loved playing in order to pay tribute to the actor. Fiction doesn’t have to reflect reality.

Kinda sad that he doesn't think his dad character was important. Besides Liv, he was basically the only character Maddie had genuine character moments with! (Diggie...does not count.) He was ALWAYS the one she came to for advice.

Dang, I haven’t watched Ravens Home since the second season! I’m curious to see this direction, but I agree. Raven wouldn’t take one kid and leave the other!

I really hate that Pops ruined Andi Mack forever because that show is so important to not only Disney Channel history but children's programming in general. They included so many amazing characters who introduced so many topics like LGBTQ, anxiety, teen pregnancy, military families, racism, Chinese culture practiced in Chinese-American families, and just so much more. This show means so much to me and I am lucky enough to have been able to buy the whole show. But the fact that there are other people who will never get to know about it or enjoy it or be moved by it just makes me so upset. I really like your idea about them cutting his scenes out. I also am just mad because there are a lot of other things on Disney + that Disney no longer agrees with but still has it on their streaming service. I wish they could have a message or something before every episode he is in saying they do no condone what he did and then have the full episode... I just hate that a show that was so progressive has its legacy ruined because of him.

I also was kinda butthurt about Kim leaving bc I really loved her and jacks storyline like the way the would bicker and were friends but never addressed their feelings but then they did and just the whole tension they had was everything , and I would’ve loved to see more of them as a couple. And I agree that it stung even more bc they literally were the main ship of the show and in my opinion were the only good thing about the show they made it worth watching , bc the boys on their own after was just dry even tho leo Howard is fine af and nice to look at still but man without Kim u boring sir

I know I’m late, but Marcus leaving Suite Life on Deck always sat wrong w me because they explained it on a throw away and then from what I remember never talked about him again. He was one of my favorite characters on the show

Honestly the one that pissed me off the most was bunked. Like how are you going to continue the show without the main characters in it??? I mean yes Lou was in it but it just doesn't feel the same same so honestly I think they should have just ended the show completely 😕

I saw someone else mention it and now I'm thinking about it too. Technically Lab Rats:Elite Force is a spinoff, so it kind of makes sense everyone couldn't come to be on it. The excuse that 2 people needed to watch the island and the others needed to help with a secret project of Davenports did actually made sense. However, these 4 are siblings and were basically always together for 4 seasons, so splitting up so easily felt weird. Also as a black woman it was so nice to see a character that looks like me as the main character and have the representation. Leo was my favorite just to be left behind for the spinoff. Bree and Chase were always the more serious of the 4, so I really missed Leo and Adam's sillier personalities to lighten the mood. Besides that I would've been fine even if they brought them in for cameos, but they were just never seen again (or really even talked about if I remember correctly?) Even when Tasha had her baby, you can't tell me Adam and Leo (especially Leo) wouldn't have come along protecting their baby sister? Idk, I know this is a long rant and I do apologize if you read this all. I just missed Leo and Adam and even though this show was short lived, I wish we could have seen them just one more time if not as regulars.

I'm still annoyed at how, when Madison Hu left her role in Best Friends Whenever (presumably to star in Bizaardvark), the show just pretended that her character Marci had never existed. I had a few qualms with the show in general, but I thought Barry and Marci were a well-matched pair, and I liked Marci, not just for the Asian representation, but because I thought she was an interesting and funny character on top of that-quirky and a bit spacey, but smart and friendly too. They did a whole dramatic thing where Marci and Barry promised each other that they wouldn't forget their feelings for each other even if the timeline changed, and then just completely wrote her out in the next season without a word and put Barry together with Daisy instead. Marci deserved better than that.

The only DC absence I wish you included was Gunther from Shake It Up! I felt irritated with the explanation in the first episode of season 3 where Tinka said he moved back to the old country. It seemed odd to me he would return to his home country without his twin sister. It felt like there was a void without his character and bummed me out further when he wasn't in the finale. Your video was lovely as usual, Caitlin. I'm a long-time fan and love coming to check back on your channel and see what you're making. I strongly agreed with what you said for the characters I knew especially when it came to what happened with Andi Mack which is one of my favorite DC series of all time. ^-^

I feel that In kickin it Kim’s absence was handled really well and the goodbye scene and everything but what really frustrated me about the show was that they never addressed the disappearance of the character Eddie it’s like he was never mentioned again and there was no explanation what so ever he was kind of one of the main characters and to see no goodbye seen or nothing really frustrates me and gets upset

I totally agree with you about Carlos! It's the main reason I haven't watched the wedding special even though I love Descendants I just really wish they had kept Carlos alive in the universe.

I think that the 'Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex' special was a mistake because the series finale, in my opinion, was the perfect closure for the show. Alex became the family wizard, Justin became the head of WizTech, and Max got the sub shop. Juliet came back for the series finale too, which was great. Besides Justin not being there, my biggest complaint with the 'Wizards Return' special was that they ruined Alex's character. Throughout season 4, Alex stepped up as a wizard and proved that she can be responsible with her powers, and doesn't only care about herself. She defeated the Angels of Darkness, she destroyed an asteroid that was heading for earth (with the help of her brothers), and during the Wizard Family Competition when Justin got his foot caught in a branch, Alex helped him get unstuck. She was almost at the finish line, but she chose to go back and help Justin. All that character development was destroyed in the 'Wizards Return' special and Alex was back to being the selfish individual who used her powers irresponsibly. Plus, did we really need more of jealous Mason? As for Demi's departure from 'Sonny with a Chance,' I was very confused. I wasn't on social media and had no idea what was going on back in 2011, so when I first saw the trailer for 'So Random!', I was like, "where's Sonny?" I had no idea about Demi Lovato's mental health problems. Plus, adding Chad Dylan Cooper (Sterling Knight) to the cast of 'So Random!' was just bizarre because of the feud between 'So Random!' and 'Mackenzie Falls.' Even with Chad being nicer to the gang because of his relationship with Sonny, it didn't make sense for Chad to leave 'Mackenzie Falls.' That show was his baby; for goodness sakes, he even ordered a recount so that 'Mackenzie Falls' would win the Tween Choice Award for "Best Tween Show" instead of 'So Random!" Chad wouldn't have done that, just to leave the show less than a year later. I know Chad hosted that Christmas Special for 'So Random!', but with his personality, it didn't feel right to have Chad become a cast member for 'So Random!' By the way, I shipped Tess and Booker from 'Raven's Home' as well, so I'm sad that we'll never get to see their relationship develop.

I respectfully disagree with the Carlos thing. I think there are 4 different choices they could've mad and based on those 4 paths, I think they picked the best one. I'ma say imo what they are and why: _1 = get a different voice actor_ _2 = mention him being somewhere else and why_ _3 = not mention him at all to avoid it_ _4 = him passing like the actor._ With #1, Nobody could've played him like Cameron, and Imo if they got a different actor it'd just feel like pretending his passing never happened, so I'm glad they didn't do that. #2 If they said "oh he's with his mom" or something like that, it'd feel like abandoning the characters integrity. One key part of his personality is him being a good friend (like in the 2nd movie and him sitting everyone down to talk about Mal leaving). Plus him not showing up at her wedding despite having the chance to just wouldn't feel right to me. #3 Not mentioning the character entirely to avoid coming up with a reason for his absence would feel downright disrespectful to me and I'm really glad they didn't do that. #4 is the only one that wasn't a lie. It was honest, and I'm glad. I love the idea of Cameron forever being the only one to bring that character to life. And that was the only acceptable reason for him not being at the wedding, because if he was alive he wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world. And not mentioning him at all would be completely unacceptable, period. So with all that being said, how they did it just... Really felt right to me. It was a lovely tribute in my eyes. *_No disrespect intended with this comment, this was all just my opinion and I respect all other perspectives on this, I just wanted to share mine too._*

The thing about Carlos is that people would’ve rioted had they replaced him. So the ultimate decision to just put his character to rest was the best one. It’s unfortunate but a lot of the times it’s best to say goodbye to the character.

I felt weird about the Nia thing too until I remembered that Devon moved back to Chicago in the Raven’s Home finale. I don’t think it’s entirely weird for Nia to stay with her dad especially so as not to disrupt her school and social life. A lot of divorced parents do that. It will be interesting to see how Booker fares without his twin and Levi though.

Demi leaving “As the Bell rings” (it was this high school short series disney played during commercial breaks) kind of affected me weirdly enough. Like I know Demi leaving was a good thing because they did “Sonny with a Chance” and “Camp Rock” but I kind of liked Demi’s chemistry with the male lead. Then when they left, the show brought in a new love interest who was like a childhood friend for the male lead and the show just didn’t feel the same without Demi.

This whole video made me think of Emma in H2O: Just Add Water, even though it isn't Disney Channel lol. But as far as Disney goes, Maddie being absent in season 3 of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

I personally feel like Carlos was done justice for the Royal Wedding special If you look at it from a certain perspective, Mal’s wedding was a HUGE event and even if Carlos went away for something else he wouldn’t miss that for the world! In a way…the only way to write him off for that occasion in a respectable way was that he passed away. Also it gave the cast a way for them to say they missed him and wished that he could be here for the special too. I thought that was done very well but I totally respect your opinion Carlos was my favorite of the boy descendants and I’ve followed Cameron’s acting career since Jessie so his death hit me like a truck. It was nice to see they didn’t try to make anyone else voice Carlos but pay a tribute to him.

I remember as a kid, I hated that Brady left the show. His replacement was also super annoying to even kid me. Honestly they should have just canceled the show. The third season basically had no soul and lost its heart.

Like Kickin It was the show with the best created and well established characters and they had such a great chemistry, you really felt like they were very close friends. and for Kim to go to the Otai (?) Academy, the same one that Jack was supposed to go in like s2 or s3, was so upsetting

I'm actually rewatching Sonny with a chance and I feel so bad to know we never got a good real ending, I can't be mad about it, I'm not, because I've always loved Demi and I know they needed to step back from all of that, but it just feels like there's a whole in my chest (so dramatic) and even when I'm enjoying the show and the ship I get sad out of nowhere thinking about season 2 finale.

In A.N.T Farm, you hardly see the mom at all. It's the dad you see constantly. I hated Lonnie not being on Descendant 3! I loved her and wanted her and Jay be together. I hated Max leaving, and the whole Maxine thing in Wizards of Waverly Place. I haven't seen season three of Soy Luna yet, but I'm not ready for Gaston to leave and for him and Nina to break up. Carlos! 😭😭😭😭

I'm glad you included Disney XD shows because I feel like everyone talks about the Disney channel shows but often forget about the XD shows which in my opinion were low key funnier than the Disney channel shows 😅

Miranda from Lizzie McGuire is an infamous one from my childhood. And Raven from Zenon was a little lacking too. I also missed Artie from Liv and Maddie, and really a lot of the friend characters--they deserved a lot more credit than they got. Justin from Wizards and Sonny from Sonny with a Chance I agree with, though I thought Wizards handled it okay, not only for Justin but Max in the last season (who was also gone a few episodes). Both actors were missed, but not forgotten. With Sonny, though, I honestly wished we got a Mackenzie Falls spin off instead.

I’m so sad about Ant farms 3rd season like they got rid of Paisley, Cameron, Skiddmore, and Gibson like that season just doesn’t feel right or have the same soul

It felt like after that one line they just forgot she existed

5:19 Head canon (I don’t know if it works because I haven’t watched this show in over a decade)-This is a prequel. Before Chad was on Mackenzie Falls, he was a member of that show, and his branching off to get his own show is what started the feud and why the casts of both shows hate each other, and they all just refuse to talk about it because Chad likes to forget that part of his history and the others are mad at him.

-"The way you guys feel about the characters leaving the shows" Me: crying on bunk'd. -I was very happy they didn't divorce Liv and Maddie's parents, because even though would've been easier for the writters, him leaving for a job remembered me of a time when my dad had to go to another state for work and he and my mom made it work out well too, of course we missed him, but he needed the job and we supported. Nice they put it on the show. -Wait, wait, wait. You went to the set of zombies? The actress had a baby? What's happening here?! Lol I didn't hear these before I got super confused. -OMG, I always hated the way Braco and Napo were written out of Violetta. I was like 9 when s2 came out and didn't make any sense in my little brain why 2 friends of the group were gone and why nobody talked about it. -Kim and Jack were my babies and I shipped them for so long that hurted hard not seeing them together. But I was just very happy that because she left we didn't get drama in their relationship. They never broke up and every time Jack brought her up was with loving comments, so I was ok with it. -what happened with the andy mack guy? I didn't hear about it either. -I didn't like Carlos death either, felt out of place. I have a lot of respect for Cameron, but they could've used old records of him or make the character out for a little and be at the wedding without saying anything. But I couldn't be ok with one of my favorite characters simply dying without even knowing how or seeing a proper funeral.

I miss Hudson from Jessie so much😭 I don't know why he wasn't in more than three episodes, I truly loved the dynamic he and Jessie had. Both of them came to New York to pursue their dreams and became nannies by accident and I feel like that despite their differences, having that in common could've helped the two to be closer. I admit that I do ship them and I wish they would've dated for at least a little while - I MEAN even Jessie said that she's surprised that she hadn't dated him yet lol. And Hudson seems to like Jessie because he was so excited when the professor made Jessie and Hudson be partners on projects for the rest of the semester even after the two spent the whole episode not getting along. Aside from the ship, I always love those characters that are hyper, overly energetic, impulsive, playful, and fun-loving like Hudson is, so I just wish we would've had more episodes with him in it. There's other characters from Disney that I wished didn't leave, like Marci from Best Friends Whenever, Gunther from Shake It Up, Pete from Liv and Maddie (I also wish Holden and Josh were in the show more), and Oliver from Hannah Montana, but surprisingly, Hudson's character only being in three episodes of Jessie hurts me the most out of all of them. I feel like I'm the only one that actually cares about his character, but I really do like his character a lot and I wish we would've gotten to see his character develop. He said that he had a lot to learn from Jessie about how to be a nanny and I feel like that maybe, Hudson could've learned to be a little more responsible and become a better nanny if he would've been in more episodes.

After seeing this video a year later, I think that the absence and route they took for Cameron Boyce as Carlos is very similar to how Disney and Marvel handled the passing of Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I also agreed with you at first about wishing how Carlos could've at least lived on in the series as his character Carlos, but after seeing the cast interviews and the public's reaction to having T'Challa pass on when Chadwick passed I think it was necessary. It's nice as viewers to see a character live on even when the actor is gone, but I think the real-life cast and personal relationships they had with others would make it somewhat cruel to continue the character on as if nothing happened when the actor is who brought life to them. I think Disney handled it well, and took a sensitive subject and made it honest and real, and let the cast process and grieve the loss of their co-worker and friend in a very authentic way, and in the process gave the character a proper send-off.

I don’t know this is an unpopular opinion or not but I much rather prefer when shows write characters out rather than replacing them with a different actor. I know these shows aren’t real but it just feels weird watching someone else play a character you’re already familiar with.

I've noticed that Raven's Home has a certain formula that the show barely tries to be creative with like Phineas and Ferb and maybe the fifth season is their way of shaking things up even though I don't agree with how they're going about it but I'll get to that. Every episode seems to be like this: Booker wants to do something stupid. He influences Levi to do the stupid thing with him. Nia refuses to do the stupid thing with him because she's the smart and mature sister but she ends up doing the stupid thing with him anyway or does something almost as stupid, making her a hypocrite. Booker gets a vision of a bad thing happening, he tries to prevent the bad thing from happening and the bad thing happens anyway. Making Booker less and less of an expert psychic like his mom, even after spending enough time with his powers to learn from that. Tess blurts out some cringe hip hop dialogue. And Raven and Chelsea go on a sometimes funny, sometimes not adventure that has nothing to do with Raven's own visions. That's pretty much the same formula from the entire show. Do I want the show to get cancelled? No, but it deserves better writers, tho. And for some reason, Tanya and Cory are still MIA. And it's not like Booker has NEVER prevented a bad thing from happening or making a good thing happen because of his visions. But either way, half or most of the time, it's like nothing he does matter because his visions happen no matter what. Making the vision twists feel pointless and not even exciting anymore. And they're supposed to be the best part of this whole franchise. And this is mainly biased, but the visions always led Raven or the other main characters into unpredictable and hilarious plots. Maybe younger viewers have the same feeling about Raven's Home post-vision plots cuz I've seen it all before. And it's even more frustrating when I read that the only time Raven Baxter has a vision in the ENTIRE fourth season is in a Bunk'd crossover! Yeah, how ironic for me that the only time the original psychic of this franchise gets even one vision is in a crossover with a show I hate. This wouldn't be so distracting if the show at least acknowledged it. What if Raven DID lose her visions? Would she be excited that she no longer carries any burden or would she feel lost and powerless next to her son who still has HIS visions? Also, maybe it's just me, but I feel like Nia is the only main character with no real development on the show so far. Booker being second since he doesn't have a better handle on his powers unless I missed something. So yeah, Season 4 was not my favorite season. That being said, the penultimate episode this season was the funniest episode in a long time and the last episode, while not as funny, was very strong with its' story and characterization. It was a nice just-in-case series finale. I say just in case because Disney sometimes makes their decisions on whether or not they renew their shows after the season has already ended. And considering their habit of screwing their shows over, it was great that the show acknowledges this and gives them a just-in-case finale that neither of its' predesscors got. Doesn't make the show's wasted opportunities any less frustrating, though. Luckily, it's getting a fifth season and regardless of this show's quality, they deserve a fifth season more than Bunk'd. On the other hand, I'm concerned about Raven and Booker leaving everyone behind to San Francisco. Nia may not be my favorite character but how are you going to separate her from her twin brother? Or Chelsea, the second best thing about this show? It doesn't even matter they're bringing Alana and Victor back. Where the hell is Tanya!?! Also I had a crossover idea with Sydney to the Max, the only other current Discom that's close to good, that had Nia and Tess involved. Long story, Raven has a vision of intercom announcing a girl named Sydney will be arriving at a Chicago airport, thinking it's the little girl Sydney from the original series, but ends up meeting a different Sydney who's vacationing with her dad and grandma. But the other Sydney shows up at the end of the Raven episode. In the Sydney episode, the Baxter-Carter-Graysons follow the Reynolds' to Portland where Max realizes the girl he babysat when he was a kid vacationing in San Francisco was Raven who in the flashbacks is getting her first visions. In the present, Sydney and the Raven's Home kids make music together and plan a concert at the bike shop but Sydney becomes paranoid when Booker is forced to tell her that he had a vision of something ruining the concert. That's how I would've made the crossover. Sigh. If it means the show will fix its mistakes, let's see it where it goes. And give Sydney to the Max another season while you're at it. That's the one recent Discom that's close to good. PS just wondering what your thoughts on Secrets of Sulphur Springs? It's a really good show and it sucks that no one on KZfaq talks about it because most adults think all live action kids shows are cringey unwatchable sitcoms and this one show isn't any of that.

I felt that the way about Eddie from Kickin' It disappearing after season 1 was messed up since he was the only black character on the show. Back then I saw something that claimed he was deemed a boring character so that's why he was gone, but I still didn't like it. Also everything you said in the video completely agreed with.

michael musso having to leave pair of kings ruined the show for me. it was my favorite show as a kid lol i used to watch it with my dad every day after school. not to bully the guy who played boz, but he just didn't work as well 🤷‍♀️

My theory on Chad in so random: he joined the cast to get back with Sonny but Sonny had to go home due to a family emergency and now chad is stuck in his contract for so random

I'm also someone who is really really very mad and irritated with the way Gaston left in the third season. Even without bringing him back, the writers could have done so much better with his exit. Nina should have agreed to visit him and... well I could go one for hours and forever so I'll stop here. Oh but I do have a challenge for you Caitlin, My challenge to you is: to write a satisfactory exit for Gaston from the show, and share it with us.

I feel like if they continued the character Carlos, it would have been too hard on the family seeing their sons face on the screens again. I felt that this was a beautiful way to do it. That wasn't Mal, Evie and Jay talking. Their real selves and you can hear it in Doves voice.

A show I'm still upset about is Bunk'd. After season two, Xander, Jorge, Tiffany, Griff, and Hazel are all gone during season three. Gladys was gone too, but her disappearance is explained in S2E1 (she took the money sent in from campers and left). There is literally no explanation for the others though. Not only that, but the show continued after the third season. I thought that that was the series finale since the Ross kids were leaving, and it was a Jessie spinoff after all. Plus, the new characters in season three (Destiny, Finn, and Matteo) almost felt like other versions of the Ross kids (Destiny resembled Emma; Finn was like Luke; and Matteo was similar to Ravi). But then the show came back with a fourth season, and the only person left was Lou.

It always bugged me how Eddie just left Kickin' It with no explanation or sendoff. The first 2 seasons, he was one of the main characters, one of the group. But season 3 and onward, not only is he just gone but nobody talks about him. Like he was never there in the first place

I feel the decision Disney made with Carlos was the right one. The main four of Descendants were the core of the series at the end of the day, their relationship was above all important to the stories and plot lines even if Carlos and Jay sometimes got sidelined a bit. Writing Carlos off to be gone for some arbitrary reason or even replacing his Voice Actor while keeping the character feels like Disney is purposely going against that true meaning of those four friends truly being friends. By paying tribute to Boyce in the short as well as touching upon the fact that the character Carlos has also passed away that core message can still be expressed while allowing the characters as well as the cast to continue doing Descendants as it's become something dear to them too.

I Googled the stoney westmoreland case because I wasn't sure what he had done, I feel like Disney is trying to keep it under rapps, you can find information about what he did and that he was on andi mack but everytime I looked up ' who did stoney westmoreland play in andi mack' I allways found that it would only show when looking at his actor profile that he played someone in star trek and had to look at a few websites to actually find out who he played wich was just strange to me.

yesss i like raven’s home but it feels so odd for raven to leave one of her kids behind . even if they’re applying the four seasons rule (idk if it’s actually true but it seems that it is) i think nia deserves to still be part of the cast. also yeah i was also rooting for booker and tess and the new season killed my hopes for that but honestly those two aspects aside it does look promising

The Ravens Home season 5 is probably what everyone wanted from the start. While the new take on the Chicago theme and living in an apartment was nice there just wasn't any nostalgic feeling so i'll be interested in how they take on the new season brining back some of the stuff from the first show even thou most of cast members wont be present from the past seasons.

It really makes me mad when a character leaves a show and they never explain their absent why they are gone.

"I miss you, Max and Mom and Dad too" "Alex Justin come here" It would have been so much better if all were there and what was with Juliette? Back when it was rare for a Disney Channel series to get a fourth season, Disney insisted on the last season being almost an entirely different show because they’re very keen on keeping things new & fresh which is why we got “Hannah Montana Forever” and “Liv & Maddie: Cali Style”, but now that almost every show gets that many seasons it’s rare for them to get FIVE seasons and that’s why Raven’s Home is overhauling most of its cast for the new season, it all has to do with contract negotiations and I’m willing to bet they couldn’t afford to keep everybody since they’d all want pay raises. But while Chelsea, Levi and Tess not coming back makes sense because why would they all follow Raven back to San Francisco, not having Nia is really weird and I wonder if the actress didn’t feel like coming back. I’m sure it will be explained well though because in the trailer we see Booker say “I’ve thought about it, and I’ve decided to stay in San Francisco!” So maybe Raven gave both of them a choice to live with their dad or come with her to San Francisco and I’m sure they’ll mention Nia.

with the descendants royal wedding, they shouldve invested in better animation quality than carlos' death. 💀 they dis that movie dirty. came out in like 2020 and snow white from the 30s had more fluid animation. descendants was like bad stopmotion

being a massive lovatic for a few years now, i keep remembering the times i used to watch So Random! and wonder where demi was. But being 8 at the time, i never knew about what they were going through and honestly as much as i adored that show, listening to demi describe how deeply miserable they were at that time makes me happy that they left the show.

I think for Carlos and Cameron you could argue that a better ending for his character would have been like what they did for the fast and furious franchise when Paul walker died. He was a main character but they gave him a send off at the end of the movie they had been filming at the time where he retired to go live a peaceful life with his family. And they kind of made a big statement of “we are NOT killing his character” so his send off was super emotional essentially saying that he lives on in their hearts. And then they dedicated the movie to him and it was kind of an “in memorium” Anyways I think they did that beautifully and I think that’s kind of the gold standard for what to do when an actor dies so I totally get not wanting them to kill the character
