This is part 2 of me taking Duolingo's hardest Spanish placement test! I can't believe the way it ended... hahaha. This was an epic challenge and I'm glad I got to learn something new in this video. The test was a good challenge and we saw some more intermediate and advanced concepts from the quiz. Thank you for watching, you're awesome :) New videos every Saturday.
Who Am I?:
👋 Hola, I'm Nate. I used to not know any Spanish at all, and I had no interest in learning the language. I thought learning Spanish would be boring, a waste of time, and would provide no value to my life. Then I started taking Spanish classes in high school and everything changed for me. I struggled with learning the language a lot at first, but thanks to my teachers and my Spanish speaking friends, they helped make the learning process fun. Within a few months, I had gotten to a conversational level, but more important, I had become a more confident person. The real win for me, though, was the friendships I made and strengthened. I discovered that not only did I have higher self esteem, but being out in the real world with people, whether old friends or new ones I met, made me feel more alive and connected with the world around me. Now it's my goal to create videos that make you smile and inspire you to learn Spanish or another language!

hi nate, i liked the video! something i noticed from this video and from part 1 is that it doesn't seem like your knowledge of vocabulary outside of mexican spanish is all that great. coger is very commonly used in the caribbean-speaking spanish countries, not just spain. and cacahuate is very obviously a mexican term - of course, there are some words from nahuatl that have spread to all spanish-speaking countries like chocolate, but it's fair to assume any other spanish word you hear that ends in -te (like popote) is from nahuatl and therefore is exclusive to mexican spanish

Great video! I tend to watch a lot of your Spanish tips and I was on Section 4. My question to you is: How do you correctly use “le, Les” etc, and when to use it?
@cauliflauniverso6821
@cauliflauniverso6821 9 ай бұрын
“Le” is for “El” “Ella” singular Example: A él le gusta comer, a ella le gusta comer. “He Likes to eat” “She likes to eat”. “Les” for “Ellos” “Ellas” plural, Example: “A ellos les gustó venir” They liked to come” “ A Ellas les gusta cantar” They like to sing”

I was too tired to think of the last one, but I knew it wasn't going to be hacer lol. As you know many uses of "to make" in English don't translate to Spanish. I think I have heard of that verb in a study book a long time ago but never in my real day to day life across Mexico. I think natives might use the verb cambiar in this situation. Could be wrong though. Another odd Duolingo sentence 😂

If someone actually tried to work to that level in Duolingo, it'd take them like 47 years because duolingo is so slow

Para mi el verbo que usé en la última pregunta era “ampliaré”.

Yo también habría usado "ampliaré". He estado hablando español durante 6 o 7 años y nunca he oído hablar de "Agrandaré" pero lo entendería si me dijera
