In my new Custom Championship in Automobilista 2 featuring the F-Classic Gen3 class and the F1 1990 Season mod by Immersion Modding Group I try to put the bar for authenticity even higher.
I am competing in Nigel Mansell's Ferrari 641 and will mainly only use the devices they had back in 1990. So it's manual shifting, no HUD, no looking back key, and only limited radio/telemetry.
This is the 3rd race at Montreal, Canada, 50 % race distance, historic date and weather, tyre wear and fuel consumption on 2 x. AI skill is on 106 %.

I love this series from you, especially the original intro! Would be just nice if the supposedly Ferrari from the 1990 cars were semi-automatic like the real one was. Ferrari uses in F1 semi-automatic gearboxes since the 1989 season, i think they were the first if not the inventors of them.

Yup, that would be correct! They were developing it throughout 1988, and started using it in 1989.

You should check out ISO: they are doing the 1991 season on AMS1 with their own made F1 1991 mod, with cars accurate to each track!

@Timo Dick Hallo Timo, bei Mod Strecken wird die Umgebung nicht ordentlich dargestellt. Statt z.B. Bäume und Hügel werden Gebäude mit ganz schlechten Texturen gezeigt. Vielleicht eine Idee woran das liegen könnte. Freundliche Grüße.

Meinst du den Freeze? Das liegt eher an einem Timeout-Problem meiner Graka (AMD). Die Strecke ist eine offizielle von AMS2.

Hallo Timo,danke für die rasche Antwort. Hat nichts mit dir zu tun. Ich meinte, wenn ich Mod Strecken fahre dann tritt dieses Problem auf. In Mugello ist die Umgebung voll mit Gebäuden die ganz schlechte Texturen haben. Ein freundliches Servus aus Wien

Yeah...AMS2 is still a beta game with changing weather and I see random freezing as well. The AI does not seem affected by track temps.

Races like this show how unbalanced the AI still are that need to be optimized and worked on in the wet. Where they have far more grip than the player car. Hoping over time as Reiza updates the game, AI will become more and more better in the wet.
