I'm an FJR1300 rider but its basically the same type of bike - a sport tourer. By the time you have graduated to this type of bike the key things that matter are its ability to eat up miles in comfort while still being usable for daily short jaunts as well as being highly reliable and having low maintenance costs (Italian bikes need not apply). I personally don't care about not having a multi-coloured TFT screen that asks me if I am having a good day or letting me know it is ready to race every time I turn on the ignition key. To me the fact that the bike is still using the same basic engine that it had when it was released 20 years ago is a good sign . . . . they got it right the first time. Loved the cartoon

I'm 50 now and lucky enough to have been able to work all my life. I have purchased and ridden most of my dream bikes during my life and have to say without hesitation that the Pan is probably the best bike i've ever owned. Buy a used Pan in decent condition for around 6k sterling and i promise you that it will remind you why you loved bikes in the first place. Amazing machines. Thank you Honda.

I think the real reason Honda stopped making the ST was because once people bought one, they weren't buying another new bike again. It's a bike for life and nearly impossible to improve upon.

Absolutely agree with this review! 👍. My ST1300 Pan European is my 15th bike, and I have the same experience. It is amazing how Honda managed to combine comfort, power, agility and fun in one big touring machine. And remember: the ST1300 is nearly 20 years old construction, and it still feel modern to ride 😊

Fantastic bike. I bought one (2003) two months ago for summer trips during Covid19 because it was the cheapest used sports-tourer with cruise control (aftermarket). It exceeds all my expectations. Handles great even at low speed, smooth engine, great brakes (ABS), fantastic suspension and devours steep mountain roads. i have been all over the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia with it (7000+ km). The most incredible value in used bikes for 500 km to 800 km days. (less than $4000 CAD).

Absolutely love this review. Had my 09 ST 1300 for 4 years now and love it. I ride 2up with the wife 90% of the time and she loves it as much as me. Both in our 50s and very comfortable. Great touring bike and have none thousands of miles around Europe and hasn’t missed a beat.

I purchased a retired police ST1300 about 10 years ago and took off the single seat and “bump” behind it and a buddy of mine and I retrofitted it with a Corbin dual up seat that I bought used on eBay. I also put risers on the handlebars and removed the ugly “ear type” engine guards which are common on the police edition. I’ve put 35,000 miles on the bike and love it. Its pretty easy to maintain and I do most all the work myself. Glad you’re enjoying yours so much - they really are great bikes.

After being away from motorbikes for 25 years I just bought a 2004 pan european for £2600 . It has done just 38,900 miles. It does need some TLC, a bit of a clean, a bit of a service, but your video gives me the confidence you go out and enjoy it. Thank you.

I rode the 1999 st 1100 for around 3yrs and just loved it. Just about to buy the st1300, just nostalgia such an amazing machine, so reliable and sat on it in the showroom and had a lump in my throat as to how iconic this bike is. I love my ST1300. Just did 2818 miles in 5 days and it performed amazingly. Even on the Tail of the Dragon here in the US

This review has a pleasant, personal tone to it. I’m on my third Pan having traded my first 2003 model for an RT (big mistake), then bought a 2004 Pan as a second bike to my unreliable GS and found I was riding the Honda more. Got rid of both in order to buy the latest Pan I could find (2015 reg but obviously a 2012/13 model) and which I will now keep. Great for two up touring and fun solo. Adjustable seat useful for us short-legged riders!

Just back from a 2000 mile road trip round the UK. What a machine. I have had it eight years now and have never wanted anything else. Before I had a Fazer, a VFR and a Suzuki Scrambler. I agree with all your comments. At the age I am now my children and grandchildren feel I ought to pack it in. They are going to be disappointed . It's not going anywhere soon.

In Australia, the ST1100 and 1300 are a fairly popular bike with long distance riders. The 28 Ltr tank is needed in Oz, as there can be 400ks between fuel stops. I have been riding the 1100 for 6 or so years, covering nearly 160000Ks.

I'm watching this in September 2020. I own a 2005 ST1300 in Australia, owned for 13 years, and finding it very difficult finding a replacement. The stationary weight is a lot, 300kg, but once mobile, it still brings a smile to my face everytime I am out on it. I do not want an Adventure Tourer as I am not interested in unsealed road riding. I want a road Tourer, an upright style bike. I do not like 'cruiser' style tourer. I agree that the 'aging' ST1300 is still a great bike.

I currently don't own a Pan either 1100 or 1300 but I would love to get one, my reason for not getting one as yet is that I am only 171 cm tall (5.7") and only weigh 72kg (around 11 stone) and so I might struggle with the weight of the bike. I must try to get a test ride at some point. I want to say that this is a great review and I congratulate you on your English, you speak it very well indeed.

I bought a used 2010 ST13 in Nov '19. I've ridden around 5000km on it so far and loving it. Handles nimbly even at low speeds and maneuvering corners are a breeze. Love the smooth power delivery of the V4 engine and ride comfort is really good, even on long rides. My only complaint is the engine heat, especially in city traffic on hot days. I did experience the infamous wobble while riding 2-up with fully loaded panniers and a 52 litre top box at speeds above 140km/h. I must say that I fully agree with your advise regarding this issue.

Thank you for such a great review. It seems that theres going to be a real gap with the absence of this from the Honda range and also the VFR800 is now effectively deleted. This means a whole generation of riders are going to assume that the adventure bike is the pinnacle of riding. This is a huge disservice to riding. They will be missing the pleasure of a big engined, long legged distance machine that leaves a smile on your face and you glutes operational after more than 200 miles. You nailed it on the reasons why: no one wants the potential reputational damage but that approach will deny a generation of riders one of the best riding experiences around.

Bought mine when they first came out in 2002. Great bike, kept it until 2012. Superb machine, it can tour with Gold Wings and play with sports bikes. Great on fuel and a massive fuel tank range. At 80 mph on a motorway the bike felt so competent and gave the rider a genuine feeling of confidence. Wonderful Machine. A much underrated bike. If you want to see how they can handle look at the American police slow riders.

Great video! Really glad to see this. Very comprehensive and love the enthusiasm. I'm watching for the first time on Aug 28, 2020 and I just bought my 2010 ST (non ABS) about six weeks ago. My other bike is a 1993 CB750 Nighthawk. I really love riding the ST. It doesn't have a top case, but I'm planning to buy one and go moto-camping. A gear indicator would be nice, but if I glance at my speed and RPMs I can tell which gear I'm in already so it's not that important. I've had it up to 90 mph and felt no wobble. I'm in Louisville, Kentucky, which is a far cry from Amsterdam....visited there in 1988 and slept on a boat. What a great city.

Very good review. I still have my ST1300 - i have done 63000 miles on it and it still rides like new. Considering my options for a replacement. They are also ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) compliant for London from roughly 2005 - so that saves £12.75 a day :-) You are right about the gear indicator - I don't think I have ever redlined the bike, never needed to. Great on motorways, great on twisties, it's fantastically well balanced and has huge amounts of storage for touring. Current Honda replacement options is poorly equipped so I have been looking at BMW and Triumph. Think for me the only real option is the Trophy 1200 SE. Will keep you posted.

Enjoyed the video, love the enthusiasm and an honest report. I got a 2016 brand new ST1300 PA zero miles from dealer this September. Great deal, rode 1400 miles home to NYC from Missouri. At first I was not sure how it would perform on NYC streets, I know now that it handles real well both on city streets and highways. Lovely motorcycle. Waiting for the rear seat (on back order) so I can enjoy the ride with pillion rider as well.

Your analysis of this bike are intriguing, and making me think twice about jumping out of my love and respect for my GL 1500 and trying this one. Kudos from one wrench to another.

Your video reminds me why I bought my 2003 st1300 in 2016 with 2600 miles. It now has 11500 miles. I don’t ride a lot. It’s an amazing machine. Will full tank of gas it requires a bit of concentration when pulling out of garage. A bit tippy.. You are right about the motor. The st 1300 has as flat of torque curve as you can find. It makes its 80-90 pounds near 2000 rpms. Flatter and lower than the Kawasaki 1400 . And the low end power surprises me every time I ride it. The suspension is so so cushy. Easy on my back compared to my other bikes, over the bumpy pavement. The brakes are strong. And the windshield,, adjusts to fit any situation. Thank you

I have an 04 ST and broke the 105,000 mile mark and am still ridding. I love the bike so much I just bought an 08 ST with only 13,000 miles on it so when mines finally ready to retire I have one in the stables all ready to go.

Great Review! I have a Dark Blue ST 1300 but looks Black at times. I'm coming from an F 850 GS into Honda ST 1300 2 years ago and wasn't doing backroads as much and wanted performance on the Hwy. The V4 is an extraordinary engine. I have a set of Two Brothers pipes that are spaced out for the bike and they turn the V4 on Big Time. No need for the gear indication, you know what gear you are in with these pipes. There are enough vids with ST 1300 on You tube. The vids don't really serve the bike justice with these pipes until you have them on and it turns the bike into another entity, V4 just has a real nice growl you know what gear you"re in by the sound. I have a GIVI top box which is way more rounded than your top box but only carry my Lap Top back pack in it while touring and strap down( Using ROK Straps an absolute must no Bungie's) a rain proof duffle bag that acts as a back rest. I have no issues at 160 to 180 Kms per hr.passing vehicles but experience the usual turbulence caused by dual trailer Trucks. I have a set of Hwy pegs that swing out from engine guards like switch blade which is great just to stretch out for a bit of Moto Yoga. The bike performers amazing in Mountain twisties, I rarely break and just listen to the Two Brothers pipes and run 3rd and 4th. But going up hill though massive passes in the Canadian Rockies, the bike is absolutely seamless it just loves the tug of going up the side of a Mountain. I don't listen to music while on my bike, but the V4 paired with these pipes gets you in The Zone always even at low speeds in the city in fact that's where you are going to get the tickets. Great Bike!

Great review. You chose the best tourer thats been made this last 20 or so years. Bought mine in 2015. Absolutely would not change it. The over riding reason Honda stopped making this model is because they just could not make the engine Euro 4 emmisions compliant. The CTX 1300 was the veiled attempt at trying to achieve that by retuning the engine but it just wasn’t sufficient. See there is still a place in the market for bikes like this from Honda. Honda ceased production of both the ST and yhe CTX. Look what BMW have in their range, now where did they get their ideas for the K 1600 B & GT from I wonder?

I bought mine new in 2012 and love it. Last year I thought about downsizing and tried both a CB500X and a Moto Guzzi V85TT. I liked both but riding home from both tests convinced me that I would be better off keeping the Pan. I love it for long distance touring and it’s great on twisty roads and in the mountains. Great weather protection and economical as well. *****

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching it during a work out on the rowing machine. I was looking at this bike, along with the FJR1300 and a few other touring types. I ended up buying something I thought I never would: 2018 BMW R1200RT. Bought it off an older gentleman and I have no regrets. Some issues, but I would purchase BMW again (you are correct it’s the Apple affect - I own Apple watches, iPhones, tablets and the IMac lol). Your bike is very nice. Cheers

Great video. I also saw a Pan when I was about 16 and thought it looked brilliant. I got a Deville last year at 50 years old. First bike in 25 years. I am now thinking of a Pan. Holland is so nice too. Heading to Holland for our summer holiday this year, with the Honda. CRV that is. Maybe on a Pan next year.

Bought an 07 ST1300 in NZ this year for $6k NZ. It had 104,000 kms on it. I've been a GS rider for 10 yrs, still have my 07 1200 (140,000 km). The ST is more bike than I am a rider. Haven't exceeded 5000 rpm on it. That's 120 kph at 4000 rpm. More than enough for me. Bar risers are a useful upgrade.

Very enlightening video, I think you have hit the nail on the head in that it does n't have to be the latest and greatest bike to satisfy what motorcyclists want, i.e. reliability, comfort, practicality, and good build quality - as you say the Japanese do it well!!!. I have recently found a 2006 ST1300P -A, ex-police bike with only 12,000klms on it, so I am going to join the club and buy it. As a motorcyclist for the last 55 years I love bikes and I think the "low" tech ST1300 is perfect, won't ask me too many questions. Love the V4, great grunt, and super smooth, and bullet proof it you take care of it. I have a daily commuter, Honda Integra DCT, great little bike and I will keep it for the daily commute but any longer journeys will see the ST1300 get to stretch it's legs. Coming off of an ST1100, I had to choose between the ST1300 and the GTR1400. New, the GTR was less expensive and offered more power and traction control so I bought it. Having a short inseam and short arms, I spent a considerable amount of time and money lowering the bike and raising the handlebars. I got it just about right, but lowering the bike reduced ground clearance. In the fall of 2019, I saw an ST1300 and was surprised at how affordable they had become so, after looking for a nice one with ABS, I bought a 2007 model. With the higher bars and adjustable saddle, it was nearly a perfect fit. It had been neglected a little bit, but has been restored. I took it on a 3000 mile trip last year. Aside from melting a bottle of prescription pills, the bike was nearly perfect. The digital display is usually difficult to read, but everything else is great. I do miss the power of the GTR, but I can always ride it since I own both. Great review!

This is a great review and overview of the ST1300. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, practical experience and the facts and figures too. I have been a sports biker for many years and only just thought about an ST. mainly because I moved and want to cover some big distances to visit friends and family, but also because, much as I love my classic Fireblade ('97), I want to be able to enjoy longer rides and tours without any back ache! Of course, I am keeping the 'blade as well, but picking up my ST('05) next week. Your great review and pointing out good and bad things has convinced me to buy it! Thank you again.

I'm a younger st1300 owner myself as well (35). I've always loved touring bikes and for the past 13 years and I'm so pleased with it. We have traveled so many amazing places and it's always run so well. The BMWs (RTs STs GTs RSs) are super nice but these things in my opinion are more reliable and just need less maintenence. I'm comfortable I can put another 100k on mine after just crossing over 100k MI.

Great review .Heat is a major problem in N. Calif summer riding can be brutal at times. I fixed the high speed wobble with a fork brace . big differences in handling . But I love my bike.

I have this bike , really can't tell it's shaft driven, (all my other previous 6 bikes where chain), The clutch is hydraulic, & when the fluid needs changing it will remind you by having the disengagement too close to the handle bar .It has a external bleeder that's easy to reach, making this a snap.The only time you feel the weight of this bike is pushing it around on the gravel driveway.It's got great handling from crawling, to as fast as you can go, (saddle bags & all).I find it hilarious when I see video's of checking valve clearance, (actually adjusting them is similar to the car systems ). They seldom need adjusting after the initial check.To check them ,loosen the plugs , & bump the engine ahead with the rear wheel in highest gear.Then simply point the cam lobe directly away from the valve.my first check they were all in spec., the next check will be literally years away! Dislikes? , the bars come surprisingly close to the tank at full lock, & the led readouts are not bright enough & or big enough in sun light.

Got mine, new, in 2011. One of the best bikes. Recently added a gear indicator. 60 000km have only blown a front fork seal is all.

I can't wait to get one soon, I used to have a Honda Transalp and loved it due to the comfort, but after riding a friends Pan 1300 I fell in love with it instantly.

I found everything you said to be true, I would add that in the warm weather I have to keep the upper gas tank full then the tank stays cool running empty is much hotter

I have recently discovered this segment and read everything about the ST1300, the FJR 1300, the BMW R1200RT, the Concourse 14, the Moto Guzzi Norge, and last but not least the Triumph Trophy SE. My favorite is the Triumph Trophy. The used prices here in the US are very close to the price of a Honda ST now, but the Triumph has more power, electronic suspension, cruise control, heated grips and seats, extremely efficient engine and large tank with a range of over 300 miles/500km. It also doesn't have the heat issues of the ST and the gauges look ten times better. Also no "Pan Weave" because the top case and panniers on the Trophy have flexible attachments that buffer any wind disturbances without transmitting them to the chassis. It would be great if you could ride one and make a video.

I just saw your great vid of the ST1300 you're right on it. It's the best honest assessment of the bike I couldn't agree with you more. I purchased a new 05 candy red in 05 I'm truly impressed with the V4 engine it's so smooth and like you stated it doesn't need a sixth gear. Currently I've 66K on her and she is running good no mechanical issues.

I have a 2003 one with 25000 km since 2008. It is now on 125000 km with no problem whatsoever. When serviced it only needed oil and filters, no adjusting of the valves or anything else needed. When driving it is a bit nervous around 110 km/h, but that was solved with Hyperpro springs front and back, with the correct damperoil. It will be my last motorcycle, being 62 now. I do drive not enough, but selling is at this point no option.

I've owned lots of bikes in 40+ years of riding and this one is checking all the boxes. I've sold my Goldwing and will sell my VFR800. For me the ST1300 is perfectly situated in the middle. Great one up. Great two up. Happy around town or on the Hwy. and fun in the twisties. Dead nuts reliable and durable with a 300+mile / 500+km range.

Lovely machine, pan European is a good name for this machine I think. I imagine it can munch the miles without any problems except how much riding the rider can take as the rider will need a break but the bike won't. That V4 as well is pretty unique and with the Honda quality will go on and on, and on etc etc. Great bike and very enjoyable ride by internet which as I cannot ride any more in the real world this is as near as I can get without riding pillion lol.

I have a st1100 now love it and always loved the recognizable design of it, also when I was a young guy , 41 now and will buy the st1300 in a while. I do not smoke , do not drink beer ( well not every day) Men never grow old so that’s not a problem either.. I do not feel old and I surely do not have a big belly..friends of me DO ride racers, hyped naked bikes and “though” guy cruisers.. Well..I ride a V4, can take a shit load of stuff with me, can ride all day long and feel happy and dit when I step of the bike..yeah it is 29 years old has 142k km on it..always works and never any problem. Been all round the houses on all sorts of modern bikes but I’ve recently gone out and bought a lovely ST1100, for pretty much all the reasons you have. The riding experience is more honest on an older bike without all the tech ‘nanny-ing’ your riding.

Geweldige review! Ik ben zelf ook pas 39 en rij nu 17 jaar motor. Waarvan 10 jaar op een st1100, uiteindelijk deze ingeruild voor de st1300. Geweldige machine, comfort, koppel het gemak etc etc. Nu 37.000 km verder in pak hem beet 2 jaar en een beetje, en nog steeds elke keer genieten! Gr Tim

Do agree with all said. Maintenance wise they could of do a better job if to remove the rear axle you wouldn't have to unbolt the rear pipe. And make a head of the axle flat so you wouldn't need to hold it to tighten it, like other bikes do. Simple things yet Honda didn't think of it. As for the gear indicator you can get aftermarket from GiPro and it works like a clockwork (except showing the gear if the clutch pulled in). Great review!

I test drove one of these for the first time ever today, August, 2021. Very clean, quite a few accessories, like the special foot pegs that fold in, Russell day long seat, wider higher windscreen, trunk, new Michelin pilots, original owner, I wanted to love it. It was 85° today, I told the seller I would not be right back. I told him I would be gone for at least an hour. I hit it off onto some roads that I would not have to stop through mostly countryside. When I got 15 minutes away, I soaked the first hot blast of air coming off of the engine/radiator.. I moved my feet out onto the foldout foot pegs made just for the ST 1300. The air coming out of those ducts in the faring to disperse the heat was worse on the outside of the faring. I did not stay out for an hour, I took the machine back, I was only gone about 30 minutes.. I told the owner, how could you ride this thing when the temperature goes above 75°. That is a lot of heat. I’m sorry, I am not gonna put myself through that. Thanks for the test ride.. I have owned two Yamaha ventures, they were worn on hot days, but nothing like a Honda ST 1300, I owned a GL 1800 Goldwing, the heat was not a problem. I owned four moto guzzis, I could feel heat but only one stopped on those machines. And it was nothing as hot as what this ST was pouring out.I did have and 1980s Honda saber 700 with the CBX style faring and bags which was an option from Honda. That motorcycle also was a blast furnace to ride. I could feel the heat coming through my arrow stitch one piece suit on a 60° day one April after I bought that machine used. I put it up for sale right away. I heard that the concourse 1400 and the FJR are also rolling ovens on warm days, so is the ST 1300. I’m sorry, I could never own a machine that blastsme with that much heat..I always wear all the gear, motorcycle/street bike boots, Kevlar jeans or leather jeans, padded mesh jacket in hot weather, leather jacket with elbow and shoulder patting & spine pad, ICON deer skin super duty gloves(I have a pair of those gloves that I have been wearing commuting five and six days a week for over 20 years, they won’t wear it, and they won’t shrink or grow) and a full face helmet/modular, and swimmers wax earplugs. With all that gear on, I don’t need more heat on warm days. It would be tolerable on a below 65° day, it would be welcome on a below 55° day.. I recently retired and sold my three street bikes. My GL 1800 Goldwing, my Moto guzzi norge, my 1994 Honda Pacific coast which I commuted on for 24 years. And I bought myself a Kawasaki Z 400. 365 pounds, 45 hp, water cooled, fuel injected, 62 miles to the gallon for the first 1500 miles so far, starts instantly, I did 21 modifications,Preload for cabs, Suzuki GSXR 600 shock, hepco becker Solid aluminum rack that plugs into the passenger seat and removes with the key. On that I installed a givi 31 L trunk, I added swingarm spools, rocks 2 1/2 inch bar risers, real horns, Taller windscreen, foam grips, tank bag, tank protector, gel seat pad, foot pegs with rubber on top from a VFR800, everything about the intake, exhaust, and fuel injection system is totally stock. I learned decades ago that the factory knows more than I do so I leave things stock in those departments. I do not like that it has ABS brakes. I experienced ABS brakes on a downhill cinder back road all my BMW K 1200 LT. I am hit the brakes, and there weren’t any. The ABS computer detected wheel slippage and the brakes did nothing. I actually was dragging my feet as I ran into a cyclone fence at the bottom of that road to stop..I am not a rookie. I have over 700,000 street miles, I’ve won six road racing championships, I was two time national champion. I can stand my beta trials bike on the front wheel.. I see no justification for ABS brakes on a motorcycle. I wish they would stop coming up with cures for problems that don’t exist like traction control, stability control, and ABS. Those things are for idiots.. I commuted for over 40 years on motorcycles, and I got caught at work in snowstorms that I had to ride my motorcycles home. If I had ABS brakes and that happened, I would not be able to ride the bike home like I did. Anyway, I wanted to love that Honda ST 1300 low mileage original owner nice condition bike I rode today. It’s just too hot

I’ve asked myself the same question whether this bike can still compare to newer bikes and you answered it!! I currently own a vfr800 with VTec so I’m familiar with vfour engines. I’m thinking of switching because it’s better suited for a passenger. My only issue is this bike requires premium fuel whereas my vfr800 does not. Why 🤷🏼‍♂️who knows… Your English is excellent by the way 😁

I owned a silver 2007 ST years ago. Considering all aspects of the motorcycles I’ve had, it’s the best one I’ve owned, period. Honda’s ability to design a heavy bike that feels so balanced and manageable is impressive. Effortless power to launch from a light or eat miles on the highway (mine loved to run at 85 MPH LOL). Height adjustable seat and windscreen to dial in your leg room and wind coverage. The frame does get hot on the right side in warm weather. I sold the ST to buy my dream Harley which is awesome (Dyna Wide Glide with an Evo engine), but I still think about that ST and miss it.

Great review. As for the comment about the wobble, or more commonly known as Pan Weave, I believe I have "cured the weave" on my bike, as I fitted a 190 Michelin on the rear. I used to feel the weave at approx 160 km/h, with the top box fitted. Since the 190 tyre fitment I no longer have Pan Weave issues Please note I am not claiming that fitting a 190 rear is the general cure, this is only my opinion, on my own bike, the 190 in my case works well, coupled with running correct tyre pressures.

Excellent review. I have the 98 ST1100 in black and absolute great machine, so I can only imagine what the ST 1300 is like. I also have the 2006 Goldwing that is my comfort ride that has plenty of power that I need and handles fantastic for a big machine.

Sad that Honda discontinued the ST1300. Quiet, fast, handles well, great on fuel (19km/L highway, great range). Only drawback, puts out a lot of heat! (Now to find fairing air deflectors that fit).

You have got to love that V4 engine for sure, It would be hard to go back to an inline motor. I think the manufacturing costs on the V4 are much higher also so its hard to compete with the Yamaha and Kawasaki for price. You don’t see any cheap v4 motorcycles.

I'm watching this video on Aug 22, 2020... I just got a ST1300 on July 28, 2020...I LOVE this bike!... I also have a 2001 Honda ACER750, and I love that bike! Next year I will got a VFR800 2003/2009. now let's talk about the ST1300...It is so fast, and so smooth, and so quiet... and that's where my problem comes in at....It's too DAMN quiet, before you know it I'm at 80 miles an hour! and yes I don't even know what gear I'm in!...LOL..and yes it needs a gear indicator! some would say the look is dated, I say the look was ahead of it's time, and it still look modern!.... I have had it a month, and people are asking me( what kinda bike is that)...LOL... I did add a dash shelf and put a garmin navigation unit, a phone holder, a radar detector , and a gear indicator on it. Added a Givi Trunk, might be a bit large, but never had a handling problem at speed, and love the extra storage for long trips. Like the way you wiped around on that Uturn, nice. On the wind screen, love the adjustability, have tried larger wind screen, but went back to stock, it’s the best fit, also did add on the rubber deflectors on the fairing and cowling, and that is great in rain. That is something to talk about, I have been caught in heavy storming rain, and just rode right on through, as long as I am moving, I don’t get much wet, except in heavy downpour. Oh, and the 7 gallons of fuel is awesome for long drives, I can ride 4 hours at a shot this is a comfortable bike . On the engine heat, I did cut holes in the inner plastic for venting the heat off, but in winter that heat is nice! I wonder, due to your riding experience on fast bikes, how fast have you wound out your ST, 100mph is as fast as I’ve ever gone but not for long, bug hit my windscreen and scare the shit out of me!!!😅 But 80 is a common speed for me on highway and it rides nice at that speed. Also yes the ST shifts like a dream, don’t even need the clutch, even down, and the shaft is just awesome, never and slack like a chain might have, solid all the time
