I wish I had kept track of how many word find books that I had bought for my Grandma from the dollar stores. It was hard for my brother and me to keep her in them, she went through them so fast. I was really happy when we finally got a Dollar General near where I lived. Before I had to run to Ollies for them which was over a hour away. I always came home with lots of books for me, too.😆Ollies used to be a great place to find discounted books, but I haven't been to one for a long time.

My unsolicited advice for selling those books is to bundle them up in lots of 3 or 4, and to list them as Free Shipping. Just bump up the price to account for your shipping. They have a much better STR that way. And be sure to put "word search" in your title, as that is how buyers usually search for them.

Good blessings i hope you sale some. One book from the 1800s arrives today. Off topic : Also I think is best to keep the books the way they look and not going to have them restore because they may lose their original covers and is expensive they charge over 250 dollars.

Yeah, I greatly prefer keeping things original or as close as I can to that. I didn't know it cost that much though, phew! Sort of makes sense, but still!

Dollar Tree maybe raising their prices again, to $1.75, at least here in NY area. I get my puzzle books for personal use and candy at the DT. If you have an Ollies near you they have current discounted books, can get good prices especially if you get at 20-15% coupon.

I'd love to, but I'd like to wait until I can test out a few others and see how much I like them. (I currently just have two, but they're the same kind.) That being said, the ones I've been using are OttLite and are just the desk units that they made that have an option for normal light and/or UV light. They get my approval from the long-lasting side of things, that's for sure! I like their light output too. :)

@@antiquebookcollective also I got an antique book is gold gilt all edges. Do you think that protected from insects and too much mildew?

@@haydendude It is a lot more protected, but it isn't 100%. Now, let me just say that out of ALL the books I've had that were gilded, I've only had mold/mildew issues on like one or two, but that was on their covers and not their pages. I don't think I've had any bug damage on gilded books though. Hope that helps! :)

@@antiquebookcollective yes it does thank you. The one I got is from 1891 and it is beautiful. They don’t make them like that anymore. I’m looking for another one just like that one. Hopefully you will find one. Is call the life of St aloysius Gonzaga by father cepari the book is all blue. The saint belong to the society of Jesus. Maybe if you ever go those monasteries to buy books you will find one 😊
