Ok, that causes me pain, lol. The vintage maps could have been sold or scanned and sold as digital downloads. It also causes me extreme pain to watch craft videos where they tear apart books, especially my favorites, the Reader's Digest Condensed Books which I love.

Great video 💪 Great packing = to Repeat buyers and lovely messages like yours and honestly those messages is what keeps motivating me to keep on pushing.Since I currently have a lot of inventory when I sell a item , if I have a small item not worth much that somehow is similar to what they bought I'll send it as a bonus, I see it as unloading low value items and not sure the percentage but I'm guessing 70% give me positive feedback.

Yeah, I included bonus items back when I started. I don't do it very often anymore, but that's just because so many of the things I sell aren't really things that everyone would be into. That's an awesome feedback rate! Congrats there!

Thank you for all the great ideas on packaging.. I'm selling on FB Marketplace right now, till I move anyway.. I try to package the way I'd want to receive it..

What are all of your thoughts on this? Think you'll start doing a little more with your packaging?

For myself, selling anything at a $50 price point and above, I typically go one layer of kraft paper, then 1-2 layers of bubble wrap. Then, if the value of the purchase exceeds a certain amount or is going overseas, sometimes I`ll tape some extra cardboard around it to enclose it in a pseudo box, then place that in the box, pad with more kraft paper, and seal it up. Hardly ever any issue in transit thanks to that.

Phew! I've got to up my game then! I sometimes wrap things extra depending on where they're going or on the book. (Soft leather wrap covers will get some cardboard on them to help them make it there safely.) I've yet to get into bubble wrap though!

Hahaha 10 miles ain't anything! And I'm a city boy! (Provided, I am fixing to move to the country. Hoping to be 20 to 40 minutes out of town. (A town with around 5,000 people.) And if you think 10 miles is rich, I've done book buying trips that are hundreds of miles away! I mention those elsewhere on my channel--maybe I'll convert you over to the side of long drives! Hahaha

Hey anything I can do to remove the yellow on my books. I have this book from 1910.

I'm sure there are some things that you can do, but yellowing is just the natural process that paper goes through. Anything you do to "fix" that is liable to just damage the book. Hope this is just the first of many old books that you can get your hands on!

@@antiquebookcollective I have a few old books most of them are in really good condition. But this one is very special to me. I will be getting one from 1916 and the other from the 40s
