This show both teaches me something and gives me confidence for driving

After watching season 12, this season feels really peaceful. Most of them are actual "bad drivers" in the sense that they are people with bad driving skills, not selfish offensive people who recklessly drive cars. And I love Baba G and Breanna.

This should be a commercial for Suzuki. That 20+ year old Sidekick is taking a beating, and still going.

Honestly my favourite thing about this season is seeing how much Jillian has grown. She seems so much calmer and sure of herself. Also, her friendship with Andrew is entertaining.

I watched the first eleven seasons before I took my driving test (I had a huge fear of driving and never drove after taking drivers ed) and I honestly learned a lot, gained a lot of confidence, and I still apply a lot when I do drive. It’s a gem of a show.

I suspect Melanie doesn't really want to drive. If she learns to drive her friends and family will insist that she make that long journey to the hospital by herself, and she doesn't want to do that. So she's resisting learning so she will always have a chauffeur.

How the hell did any of them got a pass on the exam? In Poland, where I live and drive you fail the driving test even if you make a single mistake in using your blinkers or you don't adjust your seat to the correct seating position including the headrest. The standard driving test is with a manual gearbox and if for some weird reason you choose to pass with an automatic then you are not allowed to legally drive a manual. It is worth to mention that before the exam proceed from the close course to the city you need to pass a reverse course and a hill start without any mistakes. During the whole exam you can once stall the engine and make one correction when doing parking. About 25-28% of the exams are passed, the rest is a fail, but you can keep on trying.

I kinda wish they would do the distracting driving demonstration while she was still in rehab.

It would be interesting to show an average driver taking these tests. I'm fairly certain many would do poorer than you'd think. I mean, I consider myself an average driver, but I've never driven a car that long, far less driving it in reverse. At least not without practice. It's not a part of any courses to get a normal license I've heard of,and here in Norway we have some of the most stringent courses in the world.

When he’s teaching the turn thing in the trough he should ride a bike/motorcycle and wet the tires so when he turns they get a visual on the pavement they’d probably understand faster, I use wide turns while mountain biking so I don’t hit my rear tire off rocks, same idea

At this point in the show, I still think that Ashley and Travis are locks for the final two, but at this point, any one of the remaining four could be a finalist. I mean, Ashley and Travis had the worst Eye of the Needle Runs of the day. Ashley's run reminds me of Tyler and Flora in terms of speed and the potential for disaster, but Travis' run is the standout for me. He smashed all four of the arches that he even attempted to go for, and on the third arch, he wasn't even directly under the arch when he destroyed it. His steering sucks. Looking forward to next episode, I'm really interested in seeing the parallel parking challenge. When I got my license 3 years ago in Reno, the very first thing I had to do was parallel park between two cones in the parking lot. And if I had failed at parallel parking, I'd have failed the test right then and there. It baffles me that Canadian driving tests are so lax.

I am so glad Julie graduated this episode. In my opinion I think that she has been the one that improved the most from the past 3 episodes. She definitely deserved to go home. I think she will be a much safer driver.
