I will never forget the first time I saw you in Hello Dolly. It was beyond amazing..and being an actor in the theatre myself...I have performed in productions of ...Dolly many times. You were and ALWAYS will be my inspiration. Goodbye sweetheart, thanks for making my life so enriched with theatre. Love you always 💓

I honestly don’t think it was meant in the way a lot of you all took him saying, “finally.” I felt it was meant more as a farewell to one of Broadway’s finest….. like a final “curtain call,” if you will. Rest well, Carol. You were such a spark here on Earth! 💯 🕊

I saw her in her last tour of Dolly...it was so fresh fun and joyful. That was Carol Channing.

I just got reacently to admire Carol Channing she was a true Origional a great talent. Quite Beautifull in her ypunger years too. Were gonna miss all her little humerious stories. Im sure shes telling them up there. And her singing too.❤

Byron Chandler YES YES YES!! That was my intro to her as a kid but didn’t know it at the time! Years later when I got into musical theatre, is when you can’t escape the mention of Carol and then I read her bio of all her roles and screamed when I found out she was Mrs. Fieldmouse because that song is in my family lexicon 😂😂

Not exactly, she was mixed, but was a quarter Black. Her father was half White and half Black, while her mother was fully White.
