Cars is a good "fireplace movie". Something you watch at the end of the day to just chill out and relax. It's not emotionally heavy, but it gives me a warm feeling at times.

You remember in the film Robots when the kids came in boxes, then as they age they get different parts? That’s sort of how I think cars are made. Either that or the cars are simply created the size they are. I don’t think we ever see a child car?...so maybe they are just created and then age from a level of adulthood?

I certainly hope when these are all caught up, y'all go through the Pixar theory all the way through without having to be like 'no future spoilers'

I remember not liking this movie much the first time I saw it, but I enjoyed it way more this time. And Nick's recap even added something to it. Shoutout for the Doc Hollywood reference! I was thinking about that the whole time I was watching

Cars is one of my favourite Pixar films. I remember watching it every night as a 10 year old when this came out. Fantastic film

Custodial had special cleaning for all the neon. We had gotten so much training on how to clean all the “Cars” in the land. Also what sucks is theres no AC in those things only a small fan so props to the Cast Member having to drive them out for pics.

This movie was no Balls of Fury.

This technically wasn't Owen Wilson's first animated role. He was originally supposed to be in The Emperor's New Groove but it was completely overhauled and his role was removed. There were even voice lines recorded.

I remember when I saw this the first time sometime after home release and I really did enjoy it more than I thought I would. At the time I think I liked it even more than Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo (I have changed my opinion on that in later years). I still think it's a really good Pixar movie, and better than later films like The Good Dinosaur and Onward. However, Cars 2 is FAR more an obvious cash grab than anything Pixar has ever done before or since and it's one redeeming quality is some of the voice work by the supporting cast like Emily Mortimer and, of course, Michael Caine. MICHAEL CAINE IS IN CARS 2, guys. It's crazy. I can't wait for next week. Ratatouille might be my favorite Pixar movie, and it definitely had my favorite visuals of any Pixar movie (Paris looks lovely) until probably Coco and Soul. The 1-2 punch of The Incredibles and Ratatouille made me feel like Brad Bird could do no wrong with Pixar movies, which is why The Incredibles 2 was such a letdown. They should've aged up all the characters and not done a retread of the first movie's plot, but we'll talk about that when we get there!

Surly that 17 hour a frame render time isn’t true. If it is they would have had to start rendering it in back in 2001

I was actually born on 2006, So I knew This movie my whole life

This is the era of Pixar that lost me. I cannot connect with this, Monsters Inc. when it came out, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, or Up. Walle is one of my favorites of all of them though. And since I’ve gone back an rewatched most of them, I’ve only come around on Monster’s Inc. The first 5 minutes of Up is one of the most beautiful short films ever made, but the rest of the movie drags like crazy for me.

Outch, that ranking hurts. But I might be biased because my son watch this movie at least 100 to 200 times when he was young and I loved everything about it, from the characters, to the music... it would be in the top 3 on my list.

Cars is so boring. This is one of my least favorite Pixar films. I had to watch this movie in two parts because I fell asleep watching it in the middle of the day. It amazes me that this is the most lucrative film in the entire Pixar catalog because of the merchandise.
