Great to watch your skill with the Woodsman. I use a coal from a fire to burn in the bowl. Can speed up some of the process. Good to see how you do this with a large knife and without switching to a spoon knife.

I definitely need to try the coal idea out. That combined with the extended tang would probably make short (er) work of a cup or spoon!

@@bushcraftcostarica808using the tang that way is a great idea. Bowl burning works for larger cups and bowls too. Just don't put the knife in or on anything too hot and ruin the amazing heat treatment! 😄. I use a couple of small sticks as tongs to move the coal to the wood and then blow to make the coal glow and eat into the wood. Hope you and your family have a good Christmas buddy.
