Back in time, I have done a few minor wood carving projects. Carving bodies for fishing lures, wooden plugs to replace lost parts, and other small projects. Each time I watch that knife in action and the control you exercise over it, I am in amazement.

Great idea Jim. If you can't move the knife to make a safe cut, move the piece. Aside from sticking the knife into something like a log, or holding the knife still in the hand, this is a brilliant use of the shape of the Woodsman to achieve the same result. That cup looks like a great project too, love the concept and use of the natural shape of the wood. Thanks for sharing.
