It's always a pleasure to see our gear in action and being appreciated by amazing content creators like you. We're thrilled to announce that our featured crab snares will be available for online purchase again starting tomorrow, Monday 11/27. Your support means the world to us, and we're grateful for the opportunity to be part of your crabbing adventures. Keep up the awesome content, and wishing you tight lines and great catches ahead!

I met you last year around this time at the Pacifica pier. Bought some snares and you gave me a sticker I have on my fishing bucket. Cool to see you getting your props on this channel.
@retrokid238 ай бұрын
Just wanna vouch for these snares. I’ve had many different snares but what’s particularly nice with his design is it saves bait much more than others. I have caught multiple dungies without rebaiting. Plus it glows in the dark which is sick!
@watcher12458 ай бұрын
That seagull was at the end of its days, you showed it some compassion. It's rare for people to do that for scavenger animals so im sure that bird got to appreciate both human kindness and floating in the water under the sun one last time before its time came. Nature's not as fragile as it looks. But just like everything else out in this world, death comes sooner or later. It's not a grim reminder of our own mortality. It's a reason to live life the way you want to live it and not fear our journey's end.

I didnt know about being able to fish on manmade jetties. Thanks for the tip! I'll always appreciate that, and showing me that crab snare fishing (especially off of Ocean Beach) is a thing, which I'd probably never find out about. Also, this feels like one of the old school vids and I love it.

@oldmanandthesea33848 ай бұрын
Hey there Matts. When I called DFW about the use of crab snares a few years ago, they informed me that it counts towards your fishing pole limit. I know on the ocean its not a problem and on the jetties. But, on some places where there is a two pole limit one has to remember this. Pacifica Pier comes to mind. Of course they may have changed the rules since then, so always stay up to date with the changes to all your fans out there. Stay safe and tight lines everyone.

Matts, I live south of you in Mariposa and allowed myself to be moved here, my wife loves it! Myself, I was a bird hunter and would hunt Quail 3 days a week and go down to the valley and hunt waterfowl three days a week. Now I can no longer walk and several years ago I started fishing salt and crabbing. I started on the jetty but it was a killer for me. This is a banner year for Quail, I hope you take up the sport too. As for the butter, I have tried it but it is a bit bitter for me. I hope you kept your boat!! The lakes up here in the hills are fantastic too!!

Health officials say if you're eating multiple crabs and plan to eat the butter, limit it to one crab. It's where the heavy metals collect in the crab body. Did you find the little star inside the crab? That's the heart. Tastes like the rest of the meat, but it's chewy.
