2 жыл бұрынA noisy central heating system, heavy humming, lead me to strip and clean my central heating circulation pump. Additionally I found the pump valves to be clogged up with magnetite.

Thank you, useful information, had similar issue and proceeded much as yourself. This was the only video I could find that showed the job and explained the reason for the noise and vibrations. I imagine it was difficult to video, being in a loft but it's a shame the camera wasn't fixed on a tripod or similar as there's a few sections a little blurry. Great job, thanks again Kit

Your system needs a good flush plus your better to get a in-line magnetic system so you can run water easily, plus you should flush system before fitting a new grundfos pump,

Absolutely agree. I've since fitted a filter just before the return to the boiler. It has certainly made cleaning/flushing/maintaining so much easier. The impeller of the pump is spared much of the worst stuff that develops.

Does a pump run 24/7?

The pump will run whenever there is demand for either hot water to the radiators for heating or hot water at the taps / hot water storage tank. So could be close to 24/7 during the height of winter possibly, but unlikely during the summer.
