Hey everyone, it's Nury here! Let's talk about life at 30. It's a milestone, right? Maybe you're feeling accomplished, successful, and totally on top of things. But maybe, like me, you're also starting to ask yourself some big questions.
Am I happy right now? Is this all there is?
For a while now, I've been drawn to the idea of working in mental health. Helping people navigate difficult emotions and find a path to feeling better just feels incredibly meaningful. So, naturally, the idea of going back to school for a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling has been swirling around in my head.
But hold on a second. Going back to school at 30? Suddenly, I'm bombarded with doubts. Will I be the oldest person in class? Can I handle the workload on top of everything else I have going on? And let's not forget the financial burden of student loans again!
If you're a woman in your early thirties contemplating a similar leap, you're definitely not alone. The good news is, that there are tons of us out there looking to change careers at 30, start over at 30, and pursue a path that feels more fulfilling.
Is it going to be easy? Probably not. But hey, who thrives on comfort zones anyway?
Over the next few weeks, I'm on a mission to explore the world of mental health counseling as a career option, specifically for women like us, considering a career change in our thirties.
In this video, I’ll show you some of my thoughts about starting over in my 30s and all the things I’m considering before I make a decision.
Whether you're just considering a career change or actively researching programs, I hope this video will be a helpful resource. Remember, it's never too late to *start over in life* and pursue your passions!
Thanks for being here and let me know if you have any questions!

I loved how much I could connect to the feelings you express in this video. Life always seems to make us question it more the older we get despite the notion that we should have it “figured out” by now. I’m turning 30 next January and ask myself some of the same questions you’re asking too. Cheering you on in your new endeavors!🎉🥹❤️

Right! I thought I was supposed to have all figured out by now, but life is always unpredictable. I hope you enjoy this new stage in your life and don't stress out too much about it. Thanks for your comment:)

It's beautiful how the sunlight flows though your window! I know I'm watching an old video, so I don't know if you made the decision to start studying or not, but if you did, I wish you the best of luck! Your motivation to help people is very commendable. Most people just want to be happy in life, but sometimes get lost and some really benefit greatly from a therapist. Love from Oslo ❤
