I feel like Drax should have had some interaction with thanos in the final fight, maybe if he managed to get a stab in, his whole character was based around vengeance on Thanos and we really didn’t get to see that played through

Also, Okoye should have said: "She's not alone", mirroring Black Widow's line in Infinity War - paying tribute to her sacrifice, sort of saying that Black Widow's influence lives on.

Nebula is the character who hates thanos the most and had been tortured by thanos throughout her life. She is the only one who knew thanos personally. She should've played a major part in killing thanos. She gets completely sidelined during the ending. This is the only major issue I had with endgame

There’s one small change I’d add that wouldn’t take away from the overall final battle and take only a few seconds. Bucky is fighting off Thanos’ soldiers but some start to overwhelm them. At, what seems to be the last second, Iron Man comes in and blasts some of the creatures away. Bucky looks up at Tony. Bucky simply nods in gratitude. Iron man nods back then flies away to assist others. This scene lasts maybe 5 seconds. It may seem insignificant, but this back and forth would finally resolve the animosity between Bucky and Tony and the last thing he resolves after he goes and makes the ultimate sacrifice. After seeing his dad and getting one last goodbye, this small interaction is Tony finally forgiving Bucky by both saving him and acknowledging him. It’s a small scene and a small gesture, but it finally wraps up the Civil War conflict from all those years ago.

I, hands down, unabashedly, wholeheartedly, and emphatically love this rewrite. You my friend have just made the movie 100 times better. If only I had the Time Stone to make that one adjustment. Especially since she actually holds the gauntlet in the comics.

I liked the female superhero team up st the end but.... Wanda’s scene with Thanos was just amazing. The flurry of emotions I felt during that scene was great. You can feel different about the movie, but that scene (along with MANY others) made endgame something truly marvelous.

I agree with your take, Captain Marvel felt forced. They did her a disservice, they should have written her in gradually. The CapM solo film could've been released as part of Phase 4, and the spot left open by that filled with the Black Widow solo film. It would've made her role and motivations in Endgame more striking and powerful.

This was a great idea. Captain Marvel was pretty shoehorned into the movie, and she's too OP for the MCU. A character like Scarlet Witch should be as powerful as they get.

Thanos still tossed carol like a rag doll which was so satisfying. To know she wasn't going to simply one shot thanos was a sigh of relief.

THANK YOU! I couldn't have said my thoughts on Carol and the gauntlet better myself. Though honestly, I didn't make the connection between the quantum tunnel and the endgame (which is so obvious on hindsight) so at first I was thinking of Valkyrie for the relay. It could still keep the A-Force moment where it was, and it could help establish her as a leader, which would make Thor's choice to make her the ruler of New Asgard more believable. Just have her come up with a quick battle plan to keep Thanos' army at bay and you're done.

Wow, that really does fix it. And, it also resolves the issue of, well why didn't Marvel just put the gauntlet on the second she got it--which would have saved Iron Man and ended the fight right there. The MCU has not established that Nebula can wield the gauntlet, but everything about Cpt. Marvel suggests that she could. Your version of the plot sets that question aside and would have been much more compelling to watch.

NEBULA APPRECIATION DAY!!!! Nebula has been my favorite in the MCU for a while now, ever since Guardians 2. I find her character to be fascinating, from her connection to Gamora and how she influences Thanos. If the script was tweaked the way Nando changed it in the video, it would've made for a better ending. Anyways, I still love the way they ended the Infinity Saga (phase 1-3) and I hope they achieve great things with whatever comes next.

The problem that I would have had with this that it had taken away from Tonys sacrifice. People would have either complained "Why didn't she use the gauntlet then?" or "Why did Tony have to steel this moment from her?" I really like Nebula as a character and a scene with her and Gamora fighting together would have been amazing, but this would have probably made more problems than solved. I think Nebulas high point in the film came when she killed her younger evil self, bringing home the growth she went through.

Trust me, the moment they started running with and passing the Gauntlet, I leaned over to my dad and whispered, "They have orchestrated a football game with the Gauntlet." He turns to me, smiles, and says, "I know. It's great."

This would have been amazing! Except that people would complain that Captain marvel should have taken it because she was obviously the most qualified to do so. Narratively your version is better but practically speaking it wouldn't have made sense. If you make one more tweak though and have Carol fighting Thanos already so that the responsibility goes to nebula that would work.

You always make changes that creep into my head - making me believe that THIS happened in the movie. I love it. Thank you, Nando. I am a woman but I liked the MCU for what it is. I never really needed some representation, I just want badass characters. However, this scene is so important for other women, so I respect that. I just think that the “She’s not alone” moment in IW felt more natural than the one in Endgame. I miss Nat in this scene. She’s the first one, she deserves to be in the center of this, not Carol. Honestly, I do not like Brie or Carol that much; personal biases aside, I agree that Nebula going for the gauntlet makes much more sense.

I felt the same way when Peter asked Carol how she'll get through the army. Was Peter blind? Did he not just see her destroy all those ships with ease? Nebula getting the gauntlet is a great rewrite!

I'm so glad that the only scene I had a problem with is one you corrected here. And frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason that scene was made as it was - was because the Russo's didn't have a choice in the matter of Captain Marvel's involvement.

This idea is SOOO much better! When i saw this scene in the theater i thought it was a bit forced and didn't care for it that much. I would've loved this scene so much more if it had turned out the way you said it should.

One potential change that I think may would've made the movie better: Dr. Strange saw 2 possible wins against Thanos. Iron Man then realises that the sacrifice must be either himself or Steve. The whole point of Tony's ark [reactor] was that he was not the one to make the sacrifice play. Now he is. However, if there's only one way to defeat Thanos, then that's hardly a sacrifice. Either Tony dies a hero or dies with everyone else. Now if we introduce a second option, Tony must actively choose to be the one to sacrifice himself. Cap, of course, is also trying to sacrifice himself, but he doesn't know that one of them have to do it. Perhaps a fight ensues (that may be a bit to much) or simply Tony beats Cap to the snap.

This would've made that A-Team scene flow more naturally

Thank you I already love this rewrite so much more. I honestly forgot that "girl power" scene even happened in the movie since it wasn't even that memorable. But this tiny rewrite already makes it so much better.
