The fence hopping is such a Midwest thing. Glad the rule is becoming mainstream knowlege now. Every year people would be asking the same darn question: "Can I just grab my deer I shot?" DNR: "No. You gotta ask the land owner first. No, they cannot take your deer."

I took my wife fishing (sort of) once. She came to find me while I was fishing a creek. I was catching nothing but she gave me no good reason not to try fishing herself when I asked why she wasn’t interested. I set her up with an earthworm on a bare hook to give her a better chance and she caught a little bass first cast. Then then handed me the rod and asked if she could be done lol!
