Here is a wonderful Celebrity Interview with Ben Cooper. Ben Cooper is a very dear friend. I had a crush on him when I was about 13 years old and saw him in “Johnny Guitar” at the Sherman Oaks Theater. Ben started out as a child actor, working on radio, in the New York Theater and the earliest TV shows. He has an incredible memory and, ever the perfectionist, learned not only his part of any script, but everyone else’s as well. This ability, of course, impressed the casting directors and everyone else who participated in the projects. Ben has always had a baby face and, even though he was killed in loads of his performances, he sometimes got to play the killer just because it would be such a surprise to the audience. I had a great time doing this interview and I hope you enjoy it.
From Cheryl Rogers Barnett's westernstarsthe...
Ben guest starred in just about every TV western made and was also a guest star on many non westerns like "The Twilight Zone" episode "Still Valley"
THANK YOU to The Museum of Film History in Lone Pine California for letting us share this video! This interview and many others are available in the museum's gift shop. Here is the link to their website. www.lonepinefil...

Amazing man...so ahead of his time. He is so clear and right on target in this interview. He has a wonderful sense of humor and he delivers the punch lines with perfect timing. Love the Sunday school lesson, eternal life. :) That youthful twinkle in his eyes is still that of his 30 year old self and his little sideways grin and awesome smile is the same. I love his acting in shows like Wagontrain. He did it all and did it well....lovely life. In the later comments it says he is having health issues. I will hold him in my prayers. Thank you sir for giving so much of your self ......job well done.

So sad I could not meet him in my life, I recently learned that he was my great grandfather on my dads side. Glad this video exists so that I could learn some things about him.

Visited Lone Pine back in 1964, when I was 11 years old. Sadly no films were being shot when dad took us there. But the museum was amazing, and I wanted to go back ever since. Come here, Bucket List! 👍👍 10⭐

We count ourselves very lucky in getting to know Ben and Pamela. They were our guests here at our home. I know he adored her and I'm sure that it has been devastating for him since her death. It's hard to believe that anyone who could memorize dialogue so easily would have trouble with his memory but it has happened to several of our friends. Such a terrible thing! Thanks for sharing your memory of Ben. Cheryl

Cheryl, I met him a few years ago around the time his wife passed away. He was so nice and a great guy to talk to. He was a guest at a western festival in Gene Autry, OK. I am so sorry about his health. I am disabled myself and just had my 59th surgery in life.

When was this show actually taped? What a great interview, Thank you for sharing this. Ben was and is such a wonderful, multi-talented man... And sooo funny. I worked as his and Pamela's Admintrative Assistant for their business many years ago. I learned so much from them, we were very busy, but we all spent the better part of the days laughing. Such wonderful times... Ben and Pamela set the bar for everything I've done since. I think of them fondly every day.

Sorry, I have no idea how to reach him and I have only heard that he has been having trouble with his memory. I am a few years younger than Ben and I have trouble with my memory all the time. I think that the reason people have commented on Ben's memory problem is that he could remember not only his lines in a play, but everyone else's lines after just one or two read throughs!!!

Today is February 24th 2020. My grandfather passed away about 6 a.m. this morning from Advanced Alzheimer's. He was the most amazing person to have ever influenced my life. He was the kind of person who never had to raise his voice to get people to jump! He was a person who truly commanded respect . Not only was he incredibly successful in the entertainment world, he was also a very successful and very influential businessman. He started teaching me how to shoot when I was just 8 years old. He started teaching me about business about the same time. Throughout all my years he was always supportive full of wisdom. I would like to personally thank everybody that was ever kind to him. he believes in the goodness of the people of the United States! Was an incredibly strong supporter of every entrepreneur in this country. He always had great things to say about so many people and I remember meeting wonderful people when I was young. People like Ernest Borgnine and Burt Reynolds we're wonderful. I had Thanksgiving dinner with Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson at my grandparents home when I was about nine years old. My grandfather always told me actors are just people and to be treated like friends. There were countless people who respected and admired my grandfather. he always told me the greatest gift he could give to God would to remember to be humble and kind. I loved my grandfather very much and I'm going to miss him. thank you all for being so kind in your memories of him. He was truly a great man!

@@phillipcooper3209 Just found out, I read a biography of Audie Murphy, the author talked to Mr Cooper. He said you could try to clap your hands and he could draw his gun and place it between them. That's how fast he was! Saw him first in Johnny Guitar, then on tv shows Combat ! Adam 12 , etc. My condolences , take care.
