I'm doing the same thing in my old age, giving back by teaching the next generation. It is important to get the confidence early enough in life to give you a running start at it. Martial arts really does change peoples lives for the better and people are better for having stepped foot in a Dojo.

Mr. Norris's comments of Bruce Lee not taking time to rest, is verified that Lee trained for 10 years straight, from 1960 or so till 1973 constantly, up to 10 hours a day. Lee put in 20 years of training in to 10 years or so, plus artistic indevours, writing, directing, producing, acting. The man did more than most could dream of. No wonder he went early.

Wow. Far out. Chuck Norris. I read his autobiography. Listening to him speak, it's kinda easy for him to inspire, so it's funny that, when he was a teenager, he couldn't speak in front of people. It's kinda scary that all my childhood idols are up there, age wise. Maybe the scariest thing is that that means I'm getting up there too. I don't know who kids look up to these days, whether there is another Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee. I just don't see MMA fighters as being anything like these martial artists, except the Gracies.

I just done my 3rd actual class today Tuesdays and Thursdays. yay lol. but I'd like to do martial arts for as long as I want to. The idea was to knock out your opponent using the least amount of striking techniques necessary, that's what a true expert excels at doing, that's how you succeeded to the next round, to win a contest you had to be beyond amazing at combat to become a champion. Total kudos and respect to Norris, he's a true icon of martial arts without a doubt.
