I thought it was time to put the Mold Line Remover through the paces on video. I have been using it for a while now but I wanted more people to see that it actually is quite useful. www.games-workshop.com/en-US/...

Hey, I've been using my mould line remover since I started in the hobby about 10 months ago, and I couldn't imagine using anything else.

Hi Jason, perfect timing, watched your video on the Mold Line Remover and I'm ordering one tonight. Also looking for recommendations a set of brushes for acrylic paint.

If you are looking for expensive brushes that will last forever, you can't go wrong with Winsor Newton series 7 brushes, Artis Opus burshes or Broken Toad brushes. If you are looking for something more affordable, Army Painter's brushes are great. My favorite brush is the Citadel wash brush.

So if i get this tool do I still need to the file set? It seems like their tool would make the filers obsolete

You still might need them to smooth out smaller areas like for inside the trigger area on a gun for example. But this and some Testors sanding film is all I mostly use.

How would you sharpen it ? I know people say they like a sharp blade. I do as well. Some some things I use a duller blade ( this might sound crazzy at first ) Still yet to know what kind of paper is best. Im working with warhammer 40k here, there plastic regular type not metal or the forge world stuff.

You could probably use a curved sharpening stone or some sandpaper. A dremel tool might work too

Thanks for the review. Do you think this would work with gunpla models?

absolutely!

I think a little box cutter can also be nicer to have than a slanted blade like on that hobby knife.
@lyndonjohnson50633 жыл бұрын
the main reason why that is good and better over a knife is that you can't cut yourself which one of the main reason its was made so kids can do the hobby safely

Sorry for double comment. Not really though lol Ya i used womons nail files. and both sides are to ruff. kinda leaves scratch marks. Looking for a decent file or sand paper.
