Clark, I notice you write in all caps. Since you know the importance of writing with pen and paper, I HIGHLY recommend reading "Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life" by Vimala Rodgers. She is a handwriting analyst and has great insight on how you form your letters and lines defines who you are, and thus when you change the way you write, it changes your life! Really great book full of wisdom and action steps.

Bro I am glad i have "stumbled" across your videos. This one though has slapped different. I consider myself to be the kind of stereotypical mans man but the last few years I've been thinking "is that me or am I playing to the stereotype". Don't get me wrong I don't want to be this over emotional guy that has to be deep at every moment, but I definitely want to get inside myself and I thought a journal would be a genius place to start (hence "stumbling" across your videos). Not knowing how to "speak" to a journal has been my main reason for procrastinating but I can see that I am talking to myself a year or 4 years from now, but also leaving a blueprint of my progression along with memories of moments that I might forget otherwise. I'll tell it straight, I'm a grown ass 38 year old man, you're a young lad. Which shows it doesn't matter the age, sex or culture of someone We can all learn something from everyone. I've taken what you said in this video on board and I ordered a journal right before I wrote this reply. I will add to your ideas though by putting reminders and inspiration on random pages before I start to journal in it. Respect bro👊

I have been journaling for over 50 years…life changing and so healing when I need it. Best therapist at the tip of my fingers. Often if I have feelings I need to deal with or a decision to make and when I sit and free write…I come to my own solutions and feel relieved and free again. Best habit I have ever developed.

I woke up today with a strong urge to get my drug issues in check, hoping I can someday have a healthy relationship with someone. Since my current job situation I can't just quit and do my xth rehab, but then I got recommended this video. I will go get a journel after work, maybe there will be an update in year. Thanks for posting.

This video is fantastic. I have kept a journal since I was 8 years old. But back then, it was a diary 😂 not a journal. In high school was when I made the switch from having a diary to now having a journal. I have some profound memories recorded in them. Each significant event in my personal life & in the world has been saved for me to look back on…like a photograph but way more in-depth since each entry describes a vivid accounting of the actual events that occurred. I can look back into my journal & read through my 1st hand perspective minute by minute of significant events, like 9/11/01. I made sure to document that entire day minute by minute. ❤

This is something I've been doing for sooo many years, it's a great way to sort your thoughts. Develop ideas and contrast other people's ideas through your own filters. It's good for mental health.

I am on my second year of Journalling. I found that last year i was writing alot about my thoughts and feelings and such. A big section of the book ended up being that. The other section were very sparce. I have been doing a morning pages in other notebooks for a few months now where i dump all of my thoughts out. This lead me to not use the journal as much. This year I trying something new, i am still doing morning pages in another pad, but i am recording myself in my journal as if a 3rd person is asking question. Not every day, but hoping for often. I will try other sections again also. I cant say if i have learnt yet from it, I didnt achieve any of my goals last year. I have put a tally on my goals this time, to track my wins when i do them. Always evolving. Thanks mate, all the best.

Ok so I watched on of your earlier journal blogs, and I gave it a go, from that space I modified, and come up with my own ideas, I went from a security guard to returning back to university, completed two degrees, in 5 years, plus placement, and night school at the hospital, now have my own business at home, life coaching, support worker and counselling, I do a bit of community work as well. Thanks again for your help and advice.

This is the type of video I’ve been looking for. I know how to journal and put my thoughts down but I didn’t know how to section my journal for improvement and goal making. I hate pre planned journals since there’s a lot of unnecessary questions I have to answer to fill the empty space. I watched this one already but I’m going to watch it again and make Notes to improve my journal. Thank you!!!

I have a journal for songs, a journal for goal setting, and a journal for business. I do have a fourth journal, but I keep that one more for writing the completed concept down for each one of my ideas because they are either way too hard to read or I'm being way too dark and mysterious for anyone to understand. I usually work on the concept for a while, and then I'll come back to it at a later time until I figure out what actually goes there.

Great video Clark! I found that keeping a binder made it more enjoyable for me as I am always adding pages or removing them because I want to rewrite the page to make it neat & legible. When journaling, striving for perfection for me has made me more anxious and less consistent than just going at it and trying to do everything right. Someone once told me, "Some progress is better than no progress!". Also, thank you for your tips!

This is very informative. Thank u so much! I have tried journaling before multiple times but always stopped after a few months. Not consistent enough, maybe because i am always seeing those videos that are more of the “pretty” journal stuff not really aligning to what/how i go everyday. This is very interesting and I find it more “my style” just being me. I will try changing the way I journal and see how it goes. Thank u so much again.

I have 5+ journals and they are all different themed; my main one has all of my thoughts and ideas. I jot stuff down all the time and it's a messy little bitch. I'll go back through it and re-organize my thoughts/ideas and put them down into one of the themed journals (all pretty with colors) in a more organized way to get the full plan so I can execute it. I'm an INTJ (female; super rare) it's how my brain functions. I've been learning to let go and be more relaxed the past 4 months and it's been surprisingly great! Might be turning into a ENTJ lol :) Thanks for the videos, they help a lot!

I usted to journal every day, I didn't find it difficult or "obligated". It was like a brief moment of rest and mental peace that i would have before a very productive and busy day killing it inmu projects, and then in the night again for summarize the victories and the lessons from the day. I am not implementing the habit for some reasons but probably at the Middle of the year I probably will start that again. Greetings from Venezuela ✌

I have a question. Can you help create a digital, or computer version of this? I know it may sound crazy, but for me, it's easier to sit down at a computer, or pull up voice to text on my phone and go. I have absolutely terrible handwriting. Seriously, it's so bad that I can't even read my own handwriting. Plus, I have ADHD, and it's easier, and faster to type everything out. Having ADHD, if it doesn't get written fast, it's probably not going to get written. I can go on and on, but I think you can see why someone would want a digital version of this, and it would be awesome if you could help me create one. Thank you 🙂.
