Meet Lauren & Kevin as they give us a tour of their beautifully converted school bus named Skout. Their 40 foot skoolie has a 13 inch roof raise which makes the entire build feel extremely spacious. Skout features a large kitchen with eight feet of counter space, a coffee bar, a full sized bathroom, washer/dryer combo, massive couches, a dedicated workspace, & bedroom. Complete with beautiful blue tones throughout, their bus is nothing short of stunning.
Before Lauren & Kevin moved into Skout, they weren't sure if tiny living would be for them. Lauren has anxiety & going through changes can be difficult for her to overcome, but she quickly realized that not only was living in Skout easy, but extremely rewarding. Both Lauren & Kevin attest that living in a bus has allowed them to grow both individually & as a couple, as they lean in to all that a life on the road has to offer.

Great build! As a man i understood when he said we compromised. She said, I'm not living in a van, we do a bus or I'm out 😂, and that's ok. They look like they're happy and thats all that matters.

This is the first bus build I've ever seen that was perfect. No rooftop deck that you know they never use. Has the washer/dryer combo too so no hitting up laundromats constantly. Great build!

What an absolutely beautiful layout and finish work! This is the layout I’ve bee looking for for my bus and wish I had the layout with measurements to try and do something similar. My bus is a 1982 MCI MC9 40’ and would be very similar to yours space wise. I can’t wait to finish mine but I stopped about halfway through cause I couldn’t decide on the layout but this gives me everything I was wanting! I’m a disabled Desert Storm Vet and had a small farm that’s now been sold and I chose going bus life for the freedom it allows and I’m actually moving into the bus this’d weekend and I’ll finish it on the road. You both did an amazing job and I can’t wait to get mine looking as nice as yours and hopefully I can catch up to you both one day out here somewhere!! Take care guys and be safe out there!!

We have a nephew who is USAF cointel/Asian linguist (on 6th deployment), and another nephew who is a USArmy veteran (now contractor). USMC and DOD civvie here---eons ago.

Your bus is every bit as nice as anyone's commercially-made Class C RV! It is gorgeous! I should be so fortunate. Something like what you have would be so perfect for driving to and staying at the many dog obedience trials I attend and compete in a year.

Hey, I think your TIny Skoolie Home was really nice, and so spacious with lot of storage. We acouple over 50, and on our way changing our lives. We just have got started getting rid of about 80% our stuff. I'm terrified about the upcoming yard/garage/real estate sale !! No turning back now because we found and bought our bus about a month ago, omg. I really like the colors you guys used & design ❤Happy Traveling 👍👍

A bus lets you Customize! I too would choose a bus over an RV if I was going to live full time. We had a camper set in a permanent campground for a number of years. It was at a sandy lake and had CARPET! We changed it - but I hated that “camper” feeling that just wasn’t me
