When I finally have space for a larger machine, I'm wanting to build in a similar tool change application. 4'x8' machine with a wider axis to allow a 4th axis on one edge and tool change on the other. It's great to see it in action.
@forrestgumpv90494 жыл бұрын
You need to add a G04 X50 to your tool change MACRO to give it more release time at tool drop point. Man , I really like your setup and programming speed of cut. Great Job !! You have easily beat every video on KZfaq. I'm a cnc machinist 40yrs now and I am impressed.

Awesome. I have the JGL 100 spindle, Pokeys57cnc and Porelay8. I plan using the Porelay8 to control the pneumatics for the tool changer, retractable probe, vacuum table, air nozzle etc. I'm bit lost on how to get Mach to send signals to the relay board. Are you able to share any resources which may help? Thanks

Swarf all over those exposed tool tapers! You need to devise some form of screen to protect them.
@caseycappoen2514 жыл бұрын
Agreed, it's wood tho.
@robpierce39144 жыл бұрын
It would be enough to blast high pressure air through the tool taper while the draw bar is opened. that will clean the swarf off the tools before insertion.
