If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

Singularly the best series of videos ever created on the R50. The attention to detail is stunning. My only criticism is that sooner or later you’ll move on to a different car ! Cannot recommend this channel and these set of vids enough. Love them!! Hope to see a complete nut and bolt engine strip down of the R50 engine soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thank you so much for that Vespa Morelli. Have no fear I have no plans to stop making MINI videos. I will be taking the Peugeot 207 engine apart that’s in my barn but that’s the same engine that’s in the 2nd generation anyway. MINI’s are here to stay as I love them. If anything I am searching for an earlier original one and later ones to make videos on.

I have just read in the comments about your poor mans pressure washer, I am on with making one. It works a treat. Well done. Doing the voiceover is a stroke of genius, much better than trying to do it as you go.
@CoatsandGaiters3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Neil. Good luck with your pressure washer. I think voice over gives you chance to research information so hopefully I can give accurate information.

This hot pressure washer or a vapor thing is a must have for proper cleaning. So satisfying to see dirt falling.
@CoatsandGaiters3 жыл бұрын
It's a poor mans hot pressure washer lol. I know the proper pressure washers use hot water not cold so I had the idea to fill my sprayer with hot tap water, pressurise it with the air compressor and spray away. Works a treat for on the cheap.

I like to see your job well done. There are few mechanics who do everything so aesthetically and explain well what they do. greetings Roger

Hi Mark thanks for video. Helps out a lot with referencing. For your own info, the random red wire you had is for the aircon compressor clutch. Must just be a UK thing to not have aircon. Makes the Job a little harder trying to get those parts out the way but your video certainly made my life easier

Thank you for the comment and the answer to the red wire. Take care.

Hi Mark, thank you so much for taking the time to make these truly excellent videos. My young nephew has a 2006 mini with an overheated engine so, thanks to your videos, he's going to attempt to replace it with a second-hand unit (long engine). It will be his first major automotive task. So, my request to you is - please, please make a series of videos showing how to INSTALL a mini engine! Including refitting the gearbox.
@CoatsandGaiters2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so kindly for that. As you may have seen I have removed the engine, removed the gearbox and taken a look inside and I will be replacing it all so I will be continuing the series where I put the engine back in and hopefully it works lol

@@withgrowinginsanity198 I've had to drape black out fabric for the next part with the clutch as the engine will disappear into the mess of the background. Engine/gearbox now on the table out there for splitting of the clutch/gearbox.

Great video sir. Thank you. Debating on removing entire assembly as you did, or just the transmission. Have a broken belt. What do you think?

Hi Mark, Great video, I am removing a cooked engine from a 2005 Mini to replace with a reconditioned bare one and have found it very useful. My only comment, is it really necessary to remove the serpentine belt, alternator, water pump and inlet manifold in situ, surely these will come out with the engine when lifted?
@CoatsandGaiters2 жыл бұрын
Thank you and if I can recall you probably don't need to remove those items. I just did to show the process step by step so viewers could see how each item is removed.
