Exercise and nutrition is essential to living a healthy lifestyle. However, about 20% of the population has exercise-induced asthma, often making it difficult to breathe while exercising. But, there is treatment to help.

This has affected my football journey greatly, but I didn’t let it stop me from playing college football. At first I could barely run half a mile without feeling like I would die, but now I’m able to run 1.5 miles after many years of pushing through it.

Im entering cross country this year despite my asthma. Not many people believe in me due to that, but I’m ready to prove them wrong Edit: cross country season is over! i’m glad to say, i made a PR for my mile time (8:49). i also placed 11th out of 33 girls! i’m going to train extra hard during the summer, so next year i can make top 10 and qualify for state :)

I recently started experiencing this. Do you think that if i push myself harder each day i could somehow prevent symptoms from kicking in too early in my exercise? Like if it kicks in when i run half a mile should i push for 1 mile and 2 and so forth?

Dealing with wrestling in college. I have terrible asthma, sometimes I can’t sleep at night with it. I take montelukast when I can’t sleep and I have an albuterol. But when it gets tough in a wrestling match I just can’t seem to breath enough to win. Anyone have advice?
