The way Jonas talks about Elyse is so beautiful and full of love and reminds me to be so grateful because my husband does the same thing with me. Everyone deserves a significant other that praises them and loves them so deeply

THANK YOU, Elyse. From the bottom of my heart. You said something that made me cry... You said that sometimes people think you're a lesbian, and you almost thought of it as a compliment because people took that to mean that you were a "safe space" (or safe person). A) you ARE a safe space! Your authenticity and vulnerability make people feel that they can just be themselves. What a gift you've given us! And B) As a lesbian, I've never heard someone be misidentified as gay... and take it as a compliment. This cracked my heart wide open. The world is becoming a gentler place for people like me, but it's still pretty jarring and ugly at times. I'm not expressing myself well, but hopefully if you ever see this, you get the sentiment behind my words. Grateful for you, and grateful that your badass husband supports you so you can keep shining bright 🌞

I am married with 4 children and I have had a buzz cut since 8th grade and I am 63 years old now. I’ve been mistaken for or called a lesbian or gay or even sir because the way I dress is just casual sweatshirts jeans you know just casual clothes and I’ve been mistaken for a lesbian so many times that I can’t even count to me that is always a compliment. There’s seven kids in the family I come from and four of them are gay. My twin brother is, my oldest sister, my other sister and my oldest brother are gay so for me to be born in 1960 and see what they had to go through during the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s has been a lot of sadness, heartache and rough times, tough times for all of them, but thankfully now they have more rights however it’s simply not enough and it. I don’t think it’ll ever be equal to how a heterosexual is accepted. So yeah I’ve been called lesbian for the last 50+ years and that’s a compliment to me and I am so happy that I grew up in a family with siblings as I did because it was just normal in my life. It’s funny that I would be out at the grocery store with all four of my kids who I had within a 5 1/2 year period so they were all really close together and I would be labeled as a lesbian even though I had all four of my children with me and my husband. Life is a trip and people are so judgmental, cruel, mean, bullying, and so much more. So I am a person that has been misidentified as a lesbian for 50+ years. I have always been a safe space for my gay and lesbian friends and family! It truly is a compliment to be labeled a lesbian because in my life there are some of the most incredible people I’ve ever had the chance to grow up with and to be friends with. ♥️😊👍🏻

I recently "discovered" Elyse on reels and CANNOT get enough of her! There's such deep appreciation as she shows up 100% herself, messy hair, never in make-up, house clothes (love this term!) And in this episode when they all talk about their tolerances for heat and being in the heat...TY for that bc it seems like someone FINALLY gets me. GREAT convo, great episode!!

It was perfect! I have anxiety I prefer no surprises and he’s so so the same Lol! Btw we’re celebrating 17 years in May 🥰

@@Just-wiggling-thru-life that’s awesome congratulations. Sounds like the secret is having a good best friend who knows you well. I went against my friends advice and married young and now going through a long and drawn out divorce 20 years later. @@RhymeandRamblingswhy did you go against your friends advice? was there anything he/she could have done/said to have changed your mind that he/she didn’t before your marriage?
@RhymeandRamblings
@RhymeandRamblings 9 ай бұрын
@@stickerlady1774 I went against her advice because I thought I knew better. She only told me she thought it was a bad idea once so I thought she changed her mind after seeing us together more. I think it would have helped me if she had been more persistent. She also married young and is still happily married so that wasn’t her complaint. She just didn’t think he was that into me. And she was right. She went along with it though I think because I was so happy. I saw what I wanted to see and had next to no experience with relationships.

very good interview :) newly subscribed. Also i have a degree and I'm proud of it as it was one of the hardest things I've done although I have major anxiety and little support so did it on my own and eventually paid off the debt finally :). It HAS gotten me some great jobs with government where I can help people and would not have been hired without one, and yes, I was and am qualified. Good for everyone who is doing what they love without one though...it was very hard for some of us to get but here we are :). Adore Elyse's vulnerability and authenticity :) Keep up the great work!

It helps that she has personality. It is a major downside when trying to be out there while being socially awkward, trying to make friends when everyone already has all the friends they need, and there is no charisma behind your genuine self. I love her ability to capture it. It makes it more real.

During that whole interview and all of those questions, I was a little bummed out that somebody didn’t recognize Elyse and her incredible voice and pitch, you know when she does those videos where she sings in different keys or pitches or alto, soprano, etc., and she can hit them all! Then you listen to the compilation of all of those put together! It’s the most beautiful thing ever so I kind of wish you would’ve touched base on her perfect pitch.

Okay I’m like 5 mins in but I’ve got to say I was in a car accident when I was 18 not only in my pajamas but in my slippers as well 😳. Don’t worry they had hard soles 😂. So ya off in an ambulance in my pajamas and slippers. 8 yrs later my husband and I wanted ice cream and I started to leave looked down and was like ugh I’m in my pajamas and my slippers I should change because I now of course have this weird fear of driving in my pajamas and slippers. My husband chuckled 🤭 and is like it’s fine it’s legit 2 miles down the road you’re going through the drive thru 😏 welllll I call him 10 mins later ice cream in the car cup holders and say whelp babe there goes your theory I was just in a car accident my neck is kinda screwed up they want to take me by ambulance so can you meet me at the hospital. He literally started laughing and then another police officer comes in with his sirens and he’s like 😮Holy Shite! You’re being serious?! Yep yep I have no underwear on, in my pajamas pajamas and my slippers and here I go…againnnnn 🤦‍♀️ eyeieye. Now I’ve decided I just don’t give a crap it is what it is at this point I’ve done it 2xs soooo 🤷‍♀️ 😂😂😂 🤷‍♀️ In short listen to your mother 😂😂

I love this! What a great conversation with Elyse and Jonas. She is certainly very relatable. I connected to her and her vulnerability. If you ever get a chance, a few other couples/people I listen to that I think would be a great conversation are Colleen Ballinger and Erik Stocklin, Callie and Jeff Dauler, Amy Purdy and Daniel Gale, and Jordi and Kaitlin Vilasuso. All very different. All great conversations in their own rights.

Im doing an adjustment the yoga video standard of fitness models, skimpy clothes (not to vilify, but many watch and dont do because they think that a body that doesn’t look 5'7" 120 or less "can't bend like that". For 5 years Ive been sporadically posting fit but real, mom of 3, trauma aware because im escaping it, yoga and meditation (gray hairs growing in and all). Sporadically was the problem i can finally address, because consistency is important. I really identify with the realism AND how that doesn't translate to no privacy boundaries
