Both companies make nice competition kettlebells. For each of us, different ones might be the best fit especially at different times or movements.
For this competition kettlebell review, I tried not to be biased and just just show you all the differences.
I hope this helps you make a decision based on information and no, I did not get paid to make this video but we do make a commission on sales if you decide to purchase through our links below.

I have both paradigm pro elite and kettlebell kings both in 33mm handles but unfortunately the paradigm pro elite measured with my measuring tool at 34mm in the handle. Kettlebell kings was exactly 33 mm. In your review you were right about the weight balance in kettlebell kings the weight is higher closer to the handle and paradigm pro elite is a little further down. The paradigm pro elite the width of the bottom ball is bigger and wider as you said so it feels like you need to open your legs a little wider when you're doing double swings. Kettable kings the shape of the handle being a little more square I liked more because when you're doing clean snatches it locks your hand into that corner quicker and doesn't move. But I like the paradigm pro elite handle for two-handed swings because it has more space and when you do snatches or overhead presses it feels a little more comfortable because it's sitting so close to your wrist it almost feels like it's pushing your shoulder in the socket better and not sitting on your wrist like kettlebell kings. I like paradigm pro elite 33 mill handle because the weights go up to 48kg. But kettlebell kings 33 mil handles with teardrop shape only go to 32kg. Bottom line I like the kettlebell kings with the teardrop 33mm handle more feels more comfortable.

Interesting stuff. I've only had cast bells from various brands -- MD USA, Wright, Rep, Rogue, and Lifeline prior to my Kettlebell King's competition size. Didn't realize there was so much difference in those as well, but I definitely prefer the standardized competition size over random cast sizes, except for something like heavy two-handed swings or a horn-held goblet squat.

I was never attracted to lifting traditional weights. However, kettlebell training is more appealing because it seems like the movements relate to everyday life. (MY strong philosophy is to "Have something to show for it" - this is why I don't play video games.

Great review! I have both as well, and find them both to be great products. The best on the planet, for a number of reasons. I tend to like the way the Kettlebell Kings bells feel, in the rack position. I agree, it is a matter of personal preference. I like the slight curve to the KK handle, as well. The truth is, when getting kettlebells in the world today, we may have to forego preference, and rather go with what is available. Both brands are hard to find right now. The Kettlebells USA seems to have a layer of something like slag, over the handle, which creates a nice surface for chalk. I once received one, that had a very bad handle, and used a file to remove the rough spots. There was a layer which again, to me resembled slag, and it came off relatively easy. Underneath was a layer that was much harder. I have also had to file down areas on Kettlebell King's Handles, and the steel seemed to be of similar hardness. I too have noticed the different ring to the steel, and was interested. Any minor preference on my part, is easily offset by the quality of both products, and in fact, I enjoy both products. The Kettlebells USA has a design, that is very similar (shape wise), to many other bells. Of course the hollow core, makes them much different, and of much greater quality. They do appear more traditional, however. The Kettlebell Kings version has a design that is very very similar to a Russian design, as seen in the Russian Ural kettlebell brand (kettlebell.ru/en/catalog/). Many of the world's top competitors use that brand, for training, and competition, and actually prefer that design. I tend to think the Kettlebell King's is better than the Ural brand, however, based on the fact that Ural is cast iron, and KK is cast steel. Regarding the comparison at hand, I would not rate either as being better or worse. Again, both are exquisite. They do seem to be cast different, despite being hollow. The rod across the inside of the KBUSA looks to be part of the casting process, and also does accomplish another calibration task, which I won't go into detail about here. There are several other hollow steel competition kettlebells around, which seem to be of high quality, but they are also hard to obtain, due to present events. These include Vulcan ( www.vulcanstrength.com/Vulcan-Absolute-Competition-Kettlebells-p/vckbxx.htm), and Bells of Steel (www.bellsofsteel.com/kettlebells/). A number of other companies make what appear to be great kettlebells, such as Rogue, and even Eleiko, but these latter two are cast iron, and not hollow core, so I wouldn't rate them as being on the same level as the two in this video. The reason I have mentioned the brands, other than those in this review, is merely as a point of interest, and not to disparage the great review in any way. As a final note, I think it is of value to obtain and train with several types of competition kettlebells, especially if competition is the goal. One never knows which bell will be used at a particular event, and it is important to have experience training with different types, so that one gets use to these diverse products, and isn't thrown completely off, when a window is of different shape and size.

So are the KB kings approved for comp use? Or do competitions vary the brands used?
@jimcortez3293
@jimcortez3293 2 жыл бұрын
@@cdamico97 My understanding is that they have been approved forr use in competition, and have actually been used in many competitions. Of course various organizations will select various products, for their events, but in order for a kettlebell to be approved, it needs to meet certain specifications. This is one of the reasons that kettlebells with those bevels on them, are generally not approved. However, there is nothing that would prevent an organization from setting up a competition, and selecting any kettlebell that they want. The drawback would be that winners/those who place, may not have their results recognized by the larger kettlebell sport community. But again, yes, Kettlebell Kings with their competition version, provides a product that meets all of the specs, world wide. I am not sure about their fitness edition competition kettlebell, however.

@@kettlebellmusclegain They do seem similar, but I think that Valery Fedorenko's bells had a better handle shape, and were steel.
