We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

The thing that shines through on your channel is that your family are truly a team. You really are giving your kids the best education possible, never quit because things go slightly pear shaped, find a way around the problems, and carry on. Had to laugh in sympathy with Josh, having been in his position with the ribs, but also thriving on having a laugh, sometimes you forget you are injured. I feel your pain! Good luck and stay safe.

Erin, you'll never know the pride a husband has for his wife when he sees his efforts in raising her up to new heights pay off. Especially when a man loses their father, they realize what a burden can be put on a family through their loss, and never want their own family to feel that. Through your independence, you have taken a huge weight off Josh's shoulders and given him cause for celebration. Well done!

Smashed it girl! I got a bit emotional on this one too! Such an incredibly strong family. I know what it's like to be injured, I had nearly a year on my back with prolapsed discs. It's hard to do nothing and it's equally hard to work out of your comfort zone. And the kids!! You've brought up some gems there. Get well soon Josh. Go Erin and the kids!

This is what a family should do, everyone should know the skills of each other for "just in case". That way everyone can help the family pull through anything. Its great that Josh had taken the time to show how and why. Thanks for posting

Been watching your home building project since day one. You guys are amazing!! Erin, you really picked up the ball since Josh got hurt. You were carting those 6 x 6s like they were toothpicks, and I know how heavy they really are! I'm totally impressed with the work you, Josh, and kiddos have accomplished😊😊😊

" Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. " Erin your whole family epitomise that Prayer just by the way you live. As a 60yr old that lost his Father to cancer when I was 14, I know full well the meaning " the show/life must go on " thing. The important lesson here is appreciate people when they are alive and not after............ As parents you guys are awesome role models. Best wishes to all and hope Josh gets well soon.......
