The vampires...lol. Looks delicious :) --------------------- 2 months later - June 15, 2019 I just made this, and it turned out delicious! The only thing I would change is to add the carrots in sooner because they weren't fully cooked in the middle. I definitely recommend this recipe. Thanks Dave! I used margerine, a medium onion, cremini mushrooms, gluten-free flour, and Almond Breeze (unsweetened dairy-free milk) and it turned out amazing!

@@TheCooknShare We love it aside from the carrots (I don't like cooked carrots so I couldn't push it on to my girls) so I replaced it with broccoli. With my Army Brats they for the most part will try anything as long as I say that it is Korean or Italian. I made some strawberry pasta and it went very well with it. Thank you Dave.

I’ve never had a chicken ala king recipe before, so this is great!! I’ll probably make mine a little thicker, since I’m used to the canned chicken ala king, all my life..lol I also have only ever eaten it over baking powder biscuits or toast. I’ve never even considered it a soup. Thanks for the great recipe, Dave! I’ll definitely be making this soon! Take care..:)

Oh also I also was thinking about trying it with caned chicken breast. I just want to see the difference in timing and finance. Please don't get me wrong Dave it is quick and and not expensive. I always have the "old timers" and the Vets that are more limited then I am and then I experiment to see just for that purpose. I do hope that is okay? Okay my last set of meds are starting to take effect. I hope that all is well and that I didn't make too many grammatical errors.

I would never saute onions with fresh mushrooms, unless you want some of the mushroom flavor to be taken over by onion.
