I get Picanha from multiple other stores around me for less than $10 dollars per pound. This may or may not be a good deal depending on your location. But for me, I can get it cheaper at HEB vs Costco. Regardless, this is my favorite cut of beef! I absolutely love it!

Love this cut and you did it right. I'd rather cut it against the grain at the table than when cutting into steaks.😊

How do you keep/store the trimmings for beef tallow? How long do they keep??

For the tallow I just put into a zip lock bag and put in freezer but use within a month 😊 if you have a vacuum sealer you can keep in freezer at least 3 months. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day.

One thing I don’t like about the picanha (sirloin cap) that is sold in Costco, is that they leave too much of the fat cap on it…so you end up paying more for fat is just going to be trimmed and tossed in the trash.
