Welcome to this Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 SDK Mini Series going through the process of converting the Google Maps photogrammetry data of city landmarks from Coventry in the UK into scenery to be used within the game.
This eight part mini series will guide you through the various stages required to go from planning all the way through to sharing your scenery with the world:
* Using RenderDoc for capturing the data
* Using Blender to clean up the data
* Using Photoshop to fix the textures
* Adding night lighting in Blender
* Sharing with flightsim.to

Man this is amazing! Could I possibly ask you to do an improved Liverpool please - I've had a quick try with the earthtomsfs software but it ain't great.

Hey, I have only watched this intro video so far, and I am keen on giving this a try. I know the sim and SDK have gone through a number of changes in the last year, and this video series is a long investment of time. I would hate to get most of the way through to then realise something is outdated. Would you say it is still with it? BTW, thank you for all the effort in putting the series together.

Is there any chance you could show a simple way of adding marker lighting to airport perimeter taxiways? I would like to make LCPH (Pafos Cyprus) a bit more realistic, Buildings and such are a bit beyond me... I am a nearly 70yo sim nut... appreciate your videos and tutorials...

Hi !! I have two question: 1. I like to do an airport but I have a problem and it is that I don't know Blender very good, and the other is that I dont know where to find the airport in 3d because if it a small airport don't appear in 3d in Google Maps/Earth. And also I like to do a city with Google Maps so I can see your serie to do that no ?? Because in this serie you extrat the Google maps data and improve in blender and then in other video you put in the game Yo know any blender tutorial to learn the basic to do airports. Thank you very much !!!

Hi !!! One thing I like to improve cities and villages in the Flight Simulator 2020, but the problem of the videos that I see is that the people put the scenery of Google Maps up of the default so this is a little horrible, yo recommend to follow this serie to improve a city ??

this series does not use the whole google map data, its about cutting around the buildings and placing them in situ so they blend in much better
