A little snippet from Blueprint For Black Power Chapter 3. Baba Amos reminds us that Culture (and thus history, philosophy, worldview, social norms, economics, etc) is not just some abstract thing "out there." Rather it is experienced in, and actually shapes, our bodies. Among other things, this understanding heightens my sense of pride in my physiology and that of Black people in general. Our skin, eyes, hair, the ways we talk, walk, sung, dance are all manifestations of our deep and rich story. So walk tall, my people ✊🏿🖤🖤🖤
