by the looks of it when that trucker pulled out to pass you it was not a double line still not the best thing to do also you can slow down a bit when you are getting passed so they can get their tickets faster if it was a Cummins be easier for you to keep up but you have a powerstroke it's not your fault

Haha you don't seem to understand physics pal. Thanks for the laugh. A 6.7L HO Cummins with the 4.10 axle is less capable than the powerstroke with 4.30 axle. First off 420hp@2800rpm is only 787lbft. Where the powerstroke 475hp@2600rpm is 959.6lbft. Is you do the math the Ford always get more torque to the ground. Starting from a stop Ford 1050lbft@1600 1050lbft x 4.62:1(1st gear) x 4.30:1 axle = 20,859lbft at the axle shafts Ram HO Cummins 1075lbft@1800 1075lvft x 3.75:1(1st gear) x 4.10 axle = 16,528lnft at the axle Now while pulling at speed Ford 475hp@2600(959.6lbft) At 2600rpm in 7th gear(1:1) with a 4.30:1 axle and 31.9" tall tire(225/70R19.5) is doing 57.4mph with 4,126lbft(959.6lbft x 1:1 x 4.30 axle) to the axle. Ram Ho Cummins 420hp@2800rpm(787lbft) At 2800rpm in 4th gear(1:1) with a 4.10:1 axle and 31.8" tall tires(235/80R17) is doing 64.3mph with 3,226lbft(787lbft x 1:1 x 4.10:1 axle) to the axle. Even without the the math less hp with the same load will NOT BE FASTER. Especially if the lesser hp(420hp@2800rpm vs 475hp@2600) is at a higher rpm. HP is just an equation for how fast a certain amount of work gets done 1000lbft@1313rpm is 250hp 1000lbft@2626rpm is 500hp 1000lbft@3939rpm is 750hp 1000lbft@5252rpm is 1000hp All are the same capability each step is twice as fast as the last one. A 420hp(@5600) GM 6.2L V8(thats 393lbft) isn't the same as the 420hp(@2800) Cummins HO(that's 787lbft). Simple equation torque x rpm ÷ 5252 finds the horsepower rating, and hp x 5252 ÷ rpm will tell you the torque for given hp rating. Simple because hp is NOT measurable, it's it's "rating" that's why it doesn't change with gearing. The actual(only) measurable force is torque which is manipulated with gearing(2050lbft x 14.1:1 1st gear x 3.73:1 axle = 107,815lbft to the axles) Cummins X15 performance with an RTLO-18918B and 3.73 axle(starting gear torque)

@@jnk26 6 in a row ready to tow 8 in a v you probably sit down to pee If you fact are right then why does transport trucks all have inline engine 🤔 😳

@@CarsTrucksWhatever because of space/packaging, and simplicity of working on it. One cylinder head instead of two. Cross flow head(V8s do this everytime) air in one side of the head, exhaust out the other. When it come down to hp and torque more is more. 420hp is LESS than 475hp? Right. 420hp@2800rpmis only 787lbft!!!! Which is less than 475hp@2600rpm which is 959lbft!!! Torque is what is doing the work. The ONLY FORCE AT PLAY IS TORQUE. If the Cummins was fast, better(in some peoples eyes), stronger, why did it just TIE the 445hp/910lbft(10spd) GM pickup on TFL's Ike Guantlet? Because the 10spd trans can better utilize the torque generated. That and 445hp@2800rpm(835lbft), WHICH IS STILL MORE THAN 420hp@2800rpm(787lbft). So just so you understand more HP at the same rpm means there is more torque to do the work. Also if you have more HP at a lower rpm that is more torque again 500hp@5252rpm= 500lbft 500hp@3939rpm= 666lbft 500hp@2626rpm=1000lbft 500hp@1313rpm =1500

I’m a big night driver as well. Especially when I’m running a long road trip. Only thing can be finding food and fuel in rural areas is a pain here at night.

one thing with night driving is turning down or of all the lights in the interior helps alot.a tip is if you have a screen that is too bright but you need it on is to put window tint over it.have it on my CB and it's great

If there is a line of cars behind you pull over and let them pass, you don’t even need to stop. Just give them room to go around. And put on your seatbelts.

I’ve always preferred night driving myself too. I almost clipped 2 moose and a bear in 3 different incidents last night in Northern Ontario. Get yourself some blue LED lights for the snow ❄️ I’ve got 8000 or 10000 kelvin LEDs lights ( that’s the heat index of the light ) for my high beams. The blue light doesn’t reflect off the snow like a white ( 6000 kelvin) light. They’re not as bright as the white but they cut right through the snow and you hardly see it falling at night with them.

I prefer to drive at night aswell ..I like being able to see other drivers headlights on twisty roads especially here in the Scottish highlands ...the back ground in your video looks exactly like the scenery here at the West end of Loch Ness , and much of the highlands 👍💚

If I was seeing that many deer and moose on the road I would definitely get a big iron bumper with a grill guard built on it and lights in it as well. And as I was telling Brian Fisher with “ Fishers Off-road “ channel I would have a special lockable compartment added in it to put an extra key or some extra cash
@DangerIndustries2 жыл бұрын
With those, instead of replacing a rad, bumper and hood, it usually totals the whole truck out

At least here in Ontario, half of the small town gas stations are not open late at night.

Love night time riding with nobody on the roads just cruising listen to my Cummins motor and my turbo but thats the down side of its I Ll try to avoid it in winter time unless I have to specially if Im too heavy or too light much more in Canada where you drive a ton of distance and you find nothing then animals Drove from the ferry to St Jhon Newfoundland one overnight and I d loved absolutely nobody on the road then just me Northern ontario is the worse for bonehead drivers That bush 2 lane transcanada hwy people over taking the whole time Be safe out there
