This time I take Jackson Groves to a place where he had never been before, hiking the Ohikilolo Kea'au Middle Lop. This loop has everything from cardio workouts to sketchy scrambling. The views are some of the best on the island.

Yes, winter time is the best to be out there. Summer can get a bit “way too hot”

Wow, you two mastered those ridges really well. Didn't get stuck and have to call fire rescue for help. Good job!!!

The Jackson had an excellent guide in Nandor. Both using good judgement in partnering with each other.

Mahalo! Yes, we got nice, dry weather and the rocks were good to climb. Both of us has experience on these kind of terrain, so we had a great time.

I am from Kailua have you ever seen any native Hawaiian birds in the Waianae mountains? Apapane? Iiwi? Amakihi?

Hey Alex, Not really, maybe some amakihi around the Ka’ala area, but not often. I see more native birds on other islands than on O’ahu
