I totally get the feeling of being able to breathe after the last big box store... just a moment of this that allows for the freedom of mind necessary for us to think or breathe and actually "connect" on a different note!

Absolutely fascinating. I hear similarities in northwoods Wisconsin, US. My friendship enrichment is off the charts with the Algonquin Ojibwe culture. Another week Jim, another miigwetch for the introduction of another lovely soul. World Earth Day 🌎 will be a better place with your generation in it. ❤

U replied to Randy who unsubed and u said got all kinds of stuff planned..but it's she should we season...something about trout fishing and rivers being flooded 🤷‍♀️ but ty much for the response ❤from Michigan

No prob. Maybe an auto correct. What I was saying is it’s the shoulder season now. The rivers are in flood around me and trout season isn’t open so typically my big adventures don’t amp up until May but I have a new video for tonight that’s pretty cool!

Loved this! A lot of what people consider metaphysical or pagan mumbo jumbo has been verified by physicists. Intelligence and energy and vibrational influence, etc. Can indeed be measured.

'The land will teach them' and 'the land holds their memories'. The Ojibwe language itself is land based. Every plant has a name that identifies its purpose. All trees are named for their use. Animals, birds, fish are all named for their environment. The English language, though Universal, is a conglomeration of many, many languages, the the words have fallen out of use. For example, a seat comes from the French, siege', which related to the act of sitting, but English also names the seat a 'stool', a Norse word or a 'bench' from the Roman banco, again, a seat, a stool, a chair (old French for 'chaise', all describe the act of sitting or squatting. a place to sit your arse down. But the Ojibwe language is unfiltered, pure, purposeful and descriptive. I am sure the Dene tongue is just as enlightening as that of the Mayan tongue, because it describes the local environment and local fauna and weather systems.

Race politics, demonizing Christians, "decolonization"...and I'm only 20 minutes in. I hope the next guest is a bit less condescending and a bit less woke because this is definitely not why I subscribed to your channel. I hope some day people like Dani will realize that clinging on to the past will never lead them forward.

Well, no one is going to agree with everyone’s views all the time so if you’re listening to a a given podcast, you’ll inevitably disagree with someone on something. My thoughts on it are that typically it seems there is something interesting about almost anyone and something that can be learned from almost anyone too. I find it’s actually good to listen to opposing opinions sometimes because it makes me think.

@@JimBairdAdventurer I agree that it's important to listen to opposing opinions, sometimes. Unfortunately, I get those sort of left-wing "hatred disguised as empathy" opinions shoved down my throat on a regular basis as I live in Toronto which is filled with those sorts of people, so it's nice to tune out from that noise once in a while. Anyways I still love your new podcast. I understand this isn't a podcast just for me. Keep doing your thing.

Hey BROOOOI have been a subscriber for years and have even called you ( The King of the Bush ). I understand that we all get old and can't do things we used to do. I would have enjoyed watching you and your family enjoying R,V. life, but you chose reruns and podcast, which I do not like either. So I thought I would let you know that after all these years I will be un-subscribing to your channel. I wish you and Tori the best. Take care, -Randy

Thanks for the note Randy. I actually have more Adventures planned for this year than I ever have before in the history of my channel. I am still releasing weekly outdoor adventure vids but this is she should we season here for the most part and trout fishing this closer and the rivers are in flood. My big trips amp up in May, I also recently got back from a March trip in the Yukon. Releasing the full documentaries is literally what I do every year at this time and the only difference is that ima lap releasing weekly podcasts on top of that. So, anyways, o don’t care if you unsubscribe but I’m not sure why you’ve come to these strange conclusions.
