How to SHAPE any GOLF SHOT - How to hit a DRAW | Hit a Fade | Hit it Straight | Hit it High or Low

If you want to learn how to hit a golf ball straight you must first learn how to shape any golf shot. If you learn how to hit a draw and then you learn how to hit a fade you now have two very different FEELINGS.
You can use these feelings as a kind of framework to work within to feel how to hit golf ball straight.
In this golf video you will learn how to hit a draw, a fade, how to hit a golf ball low and high
This skill is a fundamental to learning the game of golf and becoming a more consistent golfer. It is not something you should wait to achieve until you get to a certain standard. If you can't shape the ball both ways it's almost impossible to feel how to hit driver straight or take control of your irons.
You will also see how by improving your FEEL you will naturally strike your irons pure. It simply comes from a greater sense of what the club head is doing.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZfaq and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I’ve been working on my draw for months. I watched your lesson and immediately went out to the range. Absolutely amazing! The key for me was lining up right (R handed) which I would never dare to do, because -duh- my slice ends up over there AND having confidence that I could shape it to the left. This allowed me to do EXACTLY what you were saying, work the fade and then manage between the two to hit it straight. Will continue to work on this to get it ingrained! Truly a breakthrough to be able to dial it back and forth which increases the confidence! Thank you for your energy and your very thoughtful explanations!

Danny, you are now my official golf guru. After not playing for almost 15 years, and staring back,, I was shooting in the high 90's (at my best I was an 11 handicapper)-- today, thanks to you, I shot 4 over on the front, something I haven't done in 20 years! I owe 99% of it to you. Thanks for your phenomenal lessons! (FYI, I 'lost it' on the back nine, shooting 14 over, which made it 'bogey golf'... my old back couldn't take it!

Your ability to hit fade and draws like that is amazing. As a natural slicer I've been practicing the draw after seeing this video. It results in either a straight shot or a baby fade. I'm not sure if that is a bad thing considering that is not right to left but it definitely has helped me on the golf course

I've been paying special attention to your recent videos on how to turn the hips to create a good arc to hit well. This has always been a challenge. I've been playing seriously now for 2 years and at 62, I thought turning as you taught was going to be difficult. It isn't. I was at the range today for the first time this season and incorporated your teaching in my shots and it worked wonderfully! My hitting just improved big time thanks to your clear teaching Danny! I even managed to hit fades and draws; some of the intentionally as well:) can't wait for my first round of the season.

Thank You so much for presenting this video! Seems this should be a very early lesson to learn. Many times I struggle with wondering where the heck the ball is going to go. You brilliantly emphasized, "having fun" with practicing. Sometimes it's hard to believe, but that's what it's all about. Never thought I'd see the day that I'd have to think about hitting a fade. Your video lessons, on making a proper turn, have changed my golf shots into mostly draws (and sometimes a little too much draw) which I have tried to accomplish for 40+ years. Have an excellent week. Cheers!

@@DanielMaude complete revaluation.i always tried to adjust my stance before with mixed success, but opening and closing the club face along with the club plane really makes shaping the ball flight far more effective.i just need to get used to fine tuning the amount of fade and draw I want now.took away all the concerns of trying to hit the ball straight at the flag, this allows me to pick a apex for the ball flight and let the ball come back in towards the target.cant wait to get back out at the weekend for a few more rounds to try and zero in more on the technique.and I will have my new custom fitted p790 irons too hopefully help 🤞

This is a timely video, I was in the park the other day with some plastic practice balls doing low/high draw/fade drills. I found that by stepping back with my trail foot and strengthening my grip for draw and back with the lead and weakening for fade seemed to work. However I like this because it's all about feel. Cheers Danny!

Great tips Danny. I am really trying to get a handle on the mind set of shaping the ball. You've made it simpler to understand, high, low, fade, draws. Thanks bunches...

You struck a chord with me when you said you never try and hit a straight shot because it’s too difficult. That’s all I’ve ever been trying to do. This video has made me think I should have the confidence to rely on creating the appropriate shot shape for the hole. Really looking forward to giving this a go. 👍🏌️‍♂️

I took your suggestion to 'just play with it' to the course today. My first thought was to "play with" turning down my knuckles at contact. My goodness! The compression I was getting with my irons and hybrids was wonderful. It really helps me to watch your video - take those ideas to the course - and then watch the video again. I will definitely continue to work on this idea. Many thanks!

This is the clearest teaching of Draw/Fade I have ever come across. I am having fun trying this out early this season. I hit a couple lovely fades with my driver. My first attempt with a driver draw ended up going dead straight about 240. Not a bad miss. LOL. Thanks Danny!

Thats great Jeff, have fun. It should give you a really good feel of how to straighten your ball flight too if you get off on the golf course

@@DanielMaude I'm having more success with the Fade. Attempting the Draw last night in league, the ball actually curved to the right, even with my left knuckles turned down. How do you get the feeling of turning over the hands during the swing when your hands are already turned over?
