The passion and energy of Bowie was really elevated and the band was awesome. That drummer just killed it. The bass player, Gail Ann Dorsey, was outstanding. Loved her smile at 1:35 and the frequent camera shots on her performing . Can't stop watching and listening to this performance. In another era, like todays era, Bowie wouldn't be tolerated as an artist. He's too different and does not conform. His voice isn't fake and autotuned. He would be first one out on a talent show dressed like Ziggy. He'd end up on a drag show. Say a big THANK YOU to the seventies, a time when you could be anything you like, dress like no one else, write songs that weren't just repetitive shit and didn't need to get your arse out to suck up too your followers. God Bless the seventies and God, anybody's God, bless dear Bowie. With love to all x

...I get goosebumps every time I hear this version. Raw and polished. Great lead guitar, rhythm, drums---and that bass line. Talented musicians brought together by David Bowie.

Yes, he not only reinvented himself countless times, but also reinvented his songs....GENIUS. The world is only now waking up to the gigantic impact this man had on artists and musicians.

Written in '77 in Berlin while living w/ Iggy. They went there to kick coke and smack and created "Low", "Heroes", "The Idiot", &"Lust For Life" respectively. Peace David.

Bowie!...Musical hero to the multitudes .....,R.I.P.
David still brings a smile and a tear whenever I listen to him. The world lost a multi talented genius and a beautiful 'soul-love'. . .

I would pay a fortune to be live at this concert in Paris. Just awesome. Maybe the best performance of David Bowie and his outstanding band. Being a live sound engineer for 25 years, my biggest failure was never to be on a Bowie concert.

I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can beat them, just for one day We can be Heroes, just for one day And you, you can be mean And I, I'll drink all the time 'Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact Yes we're lovers, and that is that Though nothing will keep us together We could steal time, just for one day We can be Heroes, for ever and ever What d'you say? I, I wish you could swim Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim Though nothing, nothing will keep us together We can beat them, for ever and ever Oh we can be Heroes, just for one day I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can be Heroes, just for one day We can be us, just for one day I, I can remember (I remember) Standing by the wall (by the wall) And the guns shot above our heads (over our heads) And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall) And the shame was on the other side Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever Then we could be Heroes, just for one day We can be Heroes We can be Heroes We can be Heroes Just for one day We can be Heroes We're nothing, and nothing will help us Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay But we could be safer, just for one day Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh Just for one day
