As an ex apprenticeship coordinator i can tell you this is exactly the type of investment that these young people need. Some of them may not stay in the bricklaying game but they will have learned many life skills that will stand them in good stead. Brilliant, top job Charlie.

When o was serving my time. The man that actually took me on as the apprentice and the man that had 4 other apprentices along with me rarely spoke is through things or edplaind things to us. We learned from other orders lads he had employed. I was lucky enough I was stuck woth 2 very good men for a long time amd learnt quiet alot from these 2 lads regarding blockwork. And luckily on my first brick job I was working woth a very good brickie he set all profiles when needed and was quiet tasty layer and had impressive speed too for the quality of his work. But unfortunately not all apprentices are as lucky. These guys with you won't go too far wrong woth your words of advice and tips and tricks Charlie. Well done 👏

Brilliant Charlie . Future Teacher that can do the job and not get knowledge from a book . . Putting the future Tradesman at ease with fun as well as learning. Top man . Remember we all started out knowing nothing. Total respect to you Charlie. I wish you were my boss 45 years ago.

Wife wants to know… “would it not be better to get proper bricklayers to do that?” and “well I bet they don’t make very good sandcastles on holiday?”. So I’m away to bed before I start arguing with myself about life choices. Well done lads… you keep going. I’m sure there’s not many bricklayers such as Charlie that will take time out of his day to give you some solid advice and a chuckle along the way. 👍🏻

I always found the best bricklayers came from hoddies as they were used to hard work....we called them improvers.

Thes young lads don’t realise they are being taught by one of the best , the man has a young hot chick a brand new lush pad , vend all the tools and equipment any brick layer will need , has a few good lads work for him , THE MAN IS WINNING IN LIFE
@bereal51186 ай бұрын
I agree but get your tongue out of his arse turkish
@christophervane64285 ай бұрын
Yeah coz he gets young lads in takes couple weeks teaching them to run in to the line with profiles and then makes fortune off them that's why he's minted
@christophervane64285 ай бұрын
Even these apprentices he's more interested in making money than teaching them as he's said he's got them for free but instead of teaching them corners and setting out etc he's got profiles up so after few days between 4 of them he will be coining it in with what they lay to

Please don't jump on me now , but personally , I honestly believe your teaching them bad habits as beginners , to lay bricks nicely , 1st they need to learn how to pick up muck as a real beginner would , roll it and pick it up so you can get a decent spread , and then flatten the bed using the trowel UNDER the line , the way they are doing it , especially with full fill insulation , the bed will squeeze out the back against the insulation , I always teach the correct way for beginners , also they really should be atleast practicing how to build corners , remember these guys are trying to learn a trade here AND NOT just to be line monkeys 😉
