Remember the days of anesthesia school having to be at the hospital in your room by 430 for a routine lap chole? Those were the days. Finally about to graduate and take boards in the next two weeks..your vids have helped me tremendously through school bolt. Keep up the great work!

Nice! video man! I always learn a lot from your videos! I have had 14 surgeries because of my cerebral palsy I’m 31 from Memphis! I can’t wait to start Donating to the Anesthesiologist Foundation since It was hard for me to go to college to be a Anesthesiologist after I graduated high school in 08 because of my cerebral palsy! I’m Subscribed to your KZfaq channel! You’re a awesome Anesthesiologist! You rock!!!!

Getting my BSN in 1 year and work as a CNA in the ICU now and am promised an ICU job upon graduation. Still deciding between FNP and CRNA any tips? I’ve shadowed both and would enjoy either.

I am split between nursing, and med lab. What I am afraid with med lab is I would get bored. Nursing to me is almost like becoming a soldier except it's a neutral role cause you treat anyone. I want to do something that is in great need in society that is more directly involved. But I do not know if I could handle the stress particularly when shit hits the fan. I have to know EXACTLY what to do. I literally cannot imagine that experience. I would want to work in the OR. I don't think I would do well in a place like med surg. The thought of juggling many patients at once is scary to me.

When preparing medication, do you check it with MARS or does someone verify it with you to minimize the risk of medication errors?

Sorry if you have a video on this question but I've been wondering what percentage of a CRNA shift do you spend sitting down. It's a significant factor on whether I choose this profession or not. Thanks!
@BoltCRNA
@BoltCRNA 2 жыл бұрын
It would depend on the day and the person. Some people manage to find their way to their chair very quickly. Others stand and pace.

@@BoltCRNA I see. I spend a day in an OR during nursing school and the anesthesiologist spent most of the time sitting during surgery so I was curious if this was the norm. Thank you.

Hi ,don’t your anaesthetic Techs ,check equipment,prepare drugs in advance for you? Regards
@BoltCRNA
@BoltCRNA 2 жыл бұрын
Anesthesia techs aren't allowed to handle/prepare drugs here in America. They can change out circuits and get supplies for you but in general the anesthesia provider will do most of that.
