Come shopping with me today as I spend my day in Tokyo alone doing otaku stuff 🌸 I was really happy that I was able to go to the Conan exhibition because I love it sooo much 🕵️
Also I didn't mention it but getting tickets for these things is soo annoying and confusing even if you live here, for tourists I can't imagine....they really make it stupidly hard to reserve these exhibitions!!!! But at least I was able to get a lot of good merch~~

You are the first youtuber I have seen who has posted anything about Conan. I know it did not hold on in the US but one of the first anime I ever saw and I still watch it to this day. Thanks for sharing a commonly known series in Japan.

Hi Allison, love the acrylic sets, especially the 30th anniversary set, my inner geek (and often obvious geeky side lol 😆) was very impressed. That matcha cupcake looked delicious and the restaurant you went to was also great. I always enjoy seeing Tokyo streets, especially in the evenings, I feel like a lot of effort and pride is put into a lot of areas for people to enjoy. This makes my heart ache to go back. Absolutely loved this little yakiniku place (YAKINIKU TORAJI) in Akihabara. Was my first meal in Tokyo (after an insane trip). Think I may need to return this fall.

My husband wants to stay at the hotel connected to Sunshine City next time we go to Tokyo because the mall was so cool! The exhibition looked great, I love the ones where they have original page art on display. Would love a list of your recommended Webtoon series! My favorites are My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me and Trapped.

It‘s always funny for me to hear someone stating something about opening hours from other countries compared to their own when my own country has opening hours like all shops except supermarkets close at 8 pm in big cities, 6 pm in small cities, sometimes 2 pm of earlier on Saturdays and NO shop opens on Sundays. 😅

Hi Allison, my boyfriend and I are in Tokyo/Akihabara area until Sunday. I’m sad there has been limited cherry blossom 🌸 trees to view from cold/rainy weather. Do you have recommendations near Tokyo districts? We’d love to venture out more but are having tricky time with train system. We found 1 tree in Yokohama yesterday ☺️

Oh yeah, Conan was my gateway drug... However, I am actually not able to watch the anime. In Germany, EVERYTHING is dubbed into German, so that there is pretty much nothing ever aired in the original language, including Conan. Unfortunately they stopped dubbing the show after episode 333 and I just cannot watch it in any other language. Usually that is never a problem, as I am usually able to freely jump between English, German, French, and Japanese without too much trouble, but Conan is a beloved childhood memory and the one exception to the rule... So yeah, I started reading the manga but never made it past volume 73. Luckily they still dub the movies, so every now and then there is a small bit of new Conan for me.... Gosh I miss the show XD
